We asked for Paul, we got him.

He's assembling a very good side.

Does Randy know about this second job he's got with another club?

Every manager makes mistakes so I suppose it's fairer to judge them on them on their overall achievements.  Since we still have a low quality, paper-thin squad, play dull football, hardly ever score and don't win much the only possible thing Lambert can point to is not getting us relegated.

Lo and behold that's the only criteria by which Westley wants to judge Lambert Paul and is therefore able to proclaim him a success.  If you set your goals so pitifully low then yes even an uninspiring mediocrity like Lambert Paul can achieve them.

Meanwhile, what we want here on planet earth isn't a manager who can just about maintain our current status but someone who can improve it.  And I refuse to believe there isn't a single manager out there who could do that for us.
He needs to be called Paul though, because removing Tattoos is painful and expensive.

Oh god, first name I thought of was Paul Jewell and now I have a vague image of 'that pic' in my head.

He is a premier league manager, we are not.

Based on that sort of logic, shall we just close the site down then?

Also, taking that argument to its logical conclusion, every Premier league manager is always right and, presumably, unsackable simply by virtue of the fact that they are a premier league manager.

You are Howard Wilkinson and I claim my 50 kroner. (or a fiver will do if you can't be bothered with the exchange fees ;-) )

What about Dickov, an older version of Weiman.

Don't be so limited in your thinking. We can employ anyone and get them to change their name by deed poll.

Personally I like the sound of Paul Pellegrini :-D

As I live in Chicago I find it pretty difficult to get to many games.

We gave you plenty of warnings. And when I give a final warning, it really is a final warning.

Pull that stunt one more time and you are banned. Even come close to it and you are banned. You have been warned about it and still try it on.

Is that (or the Sunderland quip) aimed at anyone in particular?

I fully agree. Building this Villa side is like painting the ceiling of Sistine chapel. It's intricate work requiring highest degree of artisan skills and craftsmanship. We need to be patient for a few more years. There is no hurry and once finished it will be there for all our future generations to admire and reap the benefits. Keep right on Paul.....

There's no need for that sort of language you know, this is a respectable site.
