Yeah, whereas you're there every game, rain, shine, earthquake, tsunami or hurricane, baring your chest to reveal the large tattoo of the Villa badge which covers it, while your shouts of 'I am a real fan! I am a real fan!' echo round the otherwise barren stands of Villa Park. We get it.

I don't have any tattoo and I missed the Man City game and Chelsea this season.

Strange comment, but hey, enjoy your day.

Isn't that the third time in the last ten minutes you've tried to leave this thread?

Well you do keep implying 'goodbye'. Perhaps that was just my natural optimism coming through.

There you go again. Or do you? We'll find out.

Anyway, this is tedious, so back on topic. I always thought the problem with Lambert is a lack of long-term thinking. He goes on a game-by-game, minute-by-minute basis, sort of making it up as it goes along, and the team looks like it's doing the same. The players essentially look surprised to be attacking every time they get the ball.

I'd actually take Gordon Strachan over lambert , that's how desperate the plight has become .

I've said for a while that Lambert's problem is consistency. We get a good win but we don't build on it. The West Ham result was a decent point on the face of it. It's up to us now to build on that, gain some confidence and hopefully go on a little run and pick up a few points. Under Lambert we haven't done that enough.

Lambert has shown again and again that he doesn't know how to get us performing well and it's time to go.

He isn't there every game. He says he only goes to some of the away matches, the part timer.

I will be supporting my team and manager at Burnley in two Weeks, that is the only fact I know.

So will I, but I don't come on here and mention it every other day. You're becoming a bore.

Almost as boring as the Lambert out brigade, he isn't getting the sack, so change the subject and try and be more positive.

UTV

About what, though? An unbeaten run stretching back nearly a fortnight? I'm struggling to think of anything else. I sacrificed a beard (okay, it got us a goal, I'll concede that) for some misguided belief that I could somehow effect a change in our fortunes. All football supporters need hope, otherwise it gets a bit pointless; I'm just getting a bit tired of mine, that Lambert will change things, that watching us will not leave me pissed-off, being repeatedly dashed.
