not that I have to at all give any reasons why I am supportive of him.

Yes, as Ads clearly points out, have made several digs at fans who do not follow the team as much as I home or away, that i stand up to be shot at.

The first bit: it's an internet forum, where people come to debate stuff.  If that debate was limited to "I think this" but didn't include "because of this/that" it wouldn't be all that interesting!  So, you don't have to say why you think stuff, but it limits debate if you don't.

The second part: if you're making better fan than you comments, it's no wonder people aren't friendly back, is it?

Westley, we have fans of villa  on here from all over the world who simply cannot get to games for geographical and cash issues . That doesn't make them any less of a fan. Equally fans who live within a few miles of the ground who are so racked off with matters who have decided by choice to not go , they are still as much a fan as you or me.

I am certainly a better fan than the surplus 8k or so that went week week out during our O'Neil days when he had all those lovely millions to spend and we were finishing 6th...it is great to be a fan then is it not, where are they now?

Yeah, the excuse is crap football, shit manager, no money, I live abroad...blah blah blah.

The irony is, if we were to get relegated and end up with a Pulis, and were top of the Championship, we would get higher gates due to winning.  Any wonder why the F word is branded about so much?

I like the opera, good opera. If Jonas Kaufmann was singing I would go and see him.
If they substituted him with Paul Chuckle I wouldn't bother.

People want to be entertained and expect a certain level. I don't think this team is delivering and that is the managers fault.
I blame the owner for a lot of things but Lambert has had enough money to be at least competitive.

An interesting read by GK Nigel Skink a man involved with football. I think people entitled to their view on Lerner or Lambert but its decent to be respectful. As Nigel says poets cfut Lambert some slack at least for say the next 4 or 5 matches and see how things are then.

Its lucky the local media correct mistakes. However I would like to point you in direction of another article in local media which also gives thought to giving some hope and support to Villa and Lambert .

Yes I am convinced now he should stay and Lerner should change his 4 year contract from fixed to rolling.

John Doyle is spot on: "greg evans you are a deluded fool to compere Lambert with big sam or Pardew they both know how to set a team up to score goals and win they both change tactics they know there best side they do not play the same useless favorites who are so out of form it is untrue they are on a different planet to the fool we have they play flair players and try to win games unlike the complete boring one dimensional fool we have in charge there is not a human on planet earth who could not do a better job than the clown we have in charge he is a fraud and is getting paid every week for dragging villa to regulation with his useless team selections and non existent tactics .we have put up with this clowns dross for 2 and a half years and enough is now enough boot him out now"

Speaking (writing?) as somebody who can't be arsed to go to many games, I'm more than happy to accept that people who CAN be arsed are better fans than I am. I don't see how anyone could disagree.

If a person does not like the product, they don't buy it. If a person does not feel entertained, they do not watch. It's a choice that human beings are allowed to make. Following the club up and down the country to their inevitable relegation in 1987 was more entertaining, albeit painful, to watch than this turgid, directionless apathetic rubbish I watch with the current players and Manager. It's a choice. Would someone say that they are a better fan than a person who simply is unable to attend because of cancer, sickness, lack of funds, having to make a choice between football and their children? Are you a better fan than the man/woman standing next to you? No. You're still a fan.
