Does anyone know , do we train on 3G pitches or natural ?
Re training and pitches there is a full size 3g pitch all weather surface at BH. And there are no 100% natural grass pitches.. Almost all premier league grounds have this pitch grass mix of around !95% natural and the5% artificial. There is an exact replica of Villa park surface which has this grass hybrid which is used fir first team training. As well as this body moor heath players get to play on  fibresand pitches which i think provide extra stablity. At BH training grounds we have hybrid and grass/artificial pitches its an educated guess and sounds excellent but its noted that BH is outstanding.

Thanks for that Paul. Now, do us a favour and resign, ta. Only teasing Mr skills.

What would everyone's opinion be of having Southgate as Villa manager?

Lerner will have chosen somebody poorer than Lambert.

Lambert seems to really lack understanding. He doesn't fear the sack and believes he can turn the results around like Allardyce. However he's missing the key point, Allardyce has totally changed how West Ham play football. That's quite a remarkable change from someone who used the same methods for years. Lambert won't turn around our results with any consistency if he doesn't change how we play football as a team.

If we lose tomorrow I have a strong feeling that early next week there will be a job vacancy at Villa Park.
I reckon it'll be by 'mutual agreement' with all the usual guff about 'the best interests of the club' being spouted.

don't you have to have the obligatory vote of confidence first?

There's a new H&V out on Friday. Wednesday afternoon is my guess.

I wonder how much it would cost to pay him off? Ten million? And to think our chairman is meant to be trying to sell. Its no wonder Lambert doesn't fear the sack. In his shoes I'd positively relish it.

I think the obligatory collapse to West Ham and Southampton will yield a new manager, who can take on Burnley, Palace, Leicester and the Baggies and get some belief back. I worry that Lerner will pick another donkey though.

I would imagine there is a clause in that contract that sets a 'reasonable' amount of compensation, nowhere near £10m.

Fuck all should just about cover it !
