The thing with yesterday is if its Chelsea, arsenal or anyone good you are playing with ten men and twenty minutes to go , they are going to score, I except it.

But this was a very poor spurs team and most managers would have sorted it so we hang onto three points. This is villas mind set which comes from Lambert . I don't want pulls but I know if he was our manager for that twenty minutes yesterday  we would have won. Lambert is clueless , if it had been Leeds or wolves we would have lost.

Tom we have not had any momentum under this Manager since he has been at the club, every good result (false dawn) is followed by torrential rain, I am not one for stats, but does any one know what his longest run off games without a defeat is, since he has been Manager and how many of those undefeated were actual wins?

I disagree. There were a whole bunch of reasons why we lost yesterday. Yes, Lambert may have contributed, but he is not the sole reason.

But it is not just about yesterday Tom, it is the culmination of his bad management over the last 2 seasons.

6 games unbeaten, just before we fell apart at Christmas 2012 and went 0-15 and didn't win again in the league until February.

I agree that it's not good. I'm saying the reason we lost the six games in a row is that we had bad luck to begin with to get those fixtures in a row. However, when you start losing it's difficult to get out of the rut. We were playing superior teams to ourselves and eventhough you see teams like Hull and West Brom (and us, we beat Liverpool) beating the 'big' teams, once you start losing confidence, it's hard to do so.

Under Lambert after winning two games on the spin (which doesn't happen often) we've never done anything other than lose the 3rd game,  not even draw it, we've always lost the 3rd game. Momentum just doesn't happen under this guy.

Stuart McCall has resigned as Motherwell manager after five successive Premiership defeats. Having exceeded all expectations by finishing runners-up last season, 'Well have won only two of their 12 Premiership matches this season and are second bottom of the table.

Much better than Lambert, who should be ashamed of himself that he has no honour nor pride, like McCall.

Lambert puts more importance on protecting his wallet than he does his dignity. Any manager with a shred of decency would walk with a record as abysmal as Lambert's at Villa.
He's had such an easy ride from from the press and fans as well. God knows why though.

I'm not saying he's the saviour, or will even bring good times to the club. I just think blaming him for yesterday is a bit pointless when there are a whole other bunch of games when it has been his fault.

He gets blamed for those as well though. Yesterday is just a frustration compared to the anger of some of the truly awfull performances that have preceded it.

Then we're probably saying the same things in different ways. Another point of note is the bleeding obvious point that a change of ownership is equally as important as a change of manager, and the good times are far off. Maybe we should just be put out of our misery, get relegated and start again. Or should I say go again?

for someone else in any division please. Fact is poor decision making from referees and injuries are an integral part of the game. The excuses have to stop - the team needs to improve, but I don't believe it can, sustainably, under Lambert, who nonetheless, is probably on the longest period of notice in the history of the game.

LLLLDWLLDWLLDLWWLLLLDLWLLWDLWWLLLLLL

Someone should make a copy of the Newcastle banner, not a Welsh village, Villas last 36 games under Lambore.

8 wins
5 draws
23 defeats
Bloody hell 23 points out of 108 thats awful
