Moyes-Clarke would be a good team.

during the game yesterday besides wanting to throw my beer bottle at the TV and get arrested I honestly could not believe how horrendously poor we looked. Devoid of not only ideas but any drive or desire. The players knew they were beaten and the longer it went the more outwardly apparent it became.

I actually thought it was one of our better performances in many ways. Which is obviously a major concern. Gabby was anonymous and Benteke clearly unfit but apart from that players didn't have particularly poor games. We are like that far too often. Less than the sum of our insufficient parts. That's the managers job to sort out and for whatever reason he's been unable to, and surely never will now.

Correct.

He has a new 4-year contract. How exactly do you suggest we get rid of him?

The fucking chairman can pay for it out of his own pocket, it was his idea.

Exactly. A fool and his money are easily parted.

That 4 year contract for Lambert was almost McCleishesque... Actually I can "some" reasoning in appointing McLeish

I think it needs it's own term of reference.

Post-McLeishianism. As in "it was around this time Lerner entered into his post-McLeishianistic phase, and handed Lambert a four year deal"

Once Paul Lambert has been sacked on Sunday evening after our 6th consecutive defeat without scoring a goal (a new club record!) and he has had his "Bolton" moment, I would like to see Roy Keane put in temporary charge until the end of the season.

Come late December and its not working then I would like to see David Moyes given a go in January, fresh with a transfer window to play with to save this abysmal season. Some idiot somewhere suggested Steve Mclaren, to be perfectly honest even he would be better than PL right now.

The more likely change is indeed Keane replacing Lambert. Although Keane is supposed to be the one currently responsible for coaching, has a dire record in management and is class A c*nt, apart from all that might work out well.

Wonder what the breaking point will be. The four upcoming games arent the most difficult so Lambert might be able to hold on for another while.

One thing I don't get is how much praise and credit Keane was getting for his contribution to the first 4 games, and yet has hardly had a word of criticism for the last 5.

That pre-supposes 1 of 2 things.
We're capable of taking any points from these games.
or
Lerner has stopped doing LSD or whatever space cadet medication he appears to take on a regular basis to realise that the whole thing is disappearing down the toilet quicker than a chicken vindaloo with extra chili and gives enough of a shit to do something about it.

An absence of no.1 does not guarantee no.2

I wonder what it will actually take for Lerner to dismiss him? Pretty much every poor record, other than relegation has been broken during Lambert's tenure. Home defeats, cup losses, five on the bounce etc. I doubt relegation will work either, due to him getting Norwich up from the championship. I am sick and tired of this shit. Deadly wouldn't have stood for this shit.

Something to do with shaving his beard I think

What was noticeable was how from what I saw the pair of them just sat looking clueless the whole match.Looking at the pair of them they both look out of their depth.

Is Keane really that bothered? Doesn't look it. Lambert looks like he carries all the stress in the world on his shoulders. Can't blame him for wanting to carry on but he just doesn't have it.

So since being manager, Lambert is the proud holder of:

Our heaviest ever defeat.

Most home defeats in a season

First top flight club to be beaten over two legs in a cup semi

First time we've ever lost five games without scoring.

Does anybody know what the record is for consecutive defeats?  That'll surely be the next one to fall.

He also holds the longest run without a clean sheet and without a win in our history. Other than relegation into the 4 tier there is not much left on the horrific side of stats he has not achieved!

I'd love to see an interview where the reporter asks PL if he thinks he's done/doing a good job and hear his answer. The bloke has made a proper dogs arse of his job and someone should read him his list of 'achievements'.
