Last season was bad enough and did not deserve him to survive it. This year, there is no amount of or spin that can portray were progressing.
Totally unacceptable. In the space of 2 years he's broken every bad villa record on file.

TOSS?

Perhaps a "pot" or an "er" as optional additions on the end?

Second favourite for the bullet behind Tim Sherwood now apparently. Which is a bit harsh on Tim Sherwood.

I think hopes that he will improve must be forlorn now, for everyone. No matter what the budget, no matter what the results, two seasons is well time enough over which to discover a manager's style of play. Whatever Lambert's is, it's not what we need.

When I said I think he will survive because the fans think he is not as bad as McLeish and the board think he is not as bad as O'Neill I forgot to factor in the possibility of player revolt.   The dressing room is where Mr Lambert will meet his fate.   I suspect that he has bombed out and bawled out too many players.   The players experience his personality at first hand and I think what we are seeing now is the players not giving a shit any more.

There were 3 up and coming but a little unproven managers who were in a similar bracket when we were recruiting, and two of them appear to be proving they can make the step up with the scouse teams.  Looks like we got the shit one who wasn't up to it.  The only reason I can think of not to want Lambert sacked is the thought of what horrors Lerner and Faulkner, with their track record,  might dig up to replace him.  That said, Gary Megson would seem like a step up right now.  The fans have been very patient and forgiving but it now looks like the majority have reached the tipping point.  Not before time.

I am waiting for the yellow ticker tape on sky sports!! Untenable, unacceptable. We are truly rubbish. He bought the players, he picks the team, he chooses the tactics. He needs to shoulder the responsibility.

We're getting worse every week now and the simple truth is we don't look like scoring without Benteke.

I think he'll go if we lose to Southampton next week. 5 losses in a row and the mood in the crowd will turn ugly. At the least it will turn the run in into exactly the same as it was under Mcleish. But Lambert has less idea than Mcleish about how to grimly hang on for a point.

Southampton lost to Cardiff today. It should show our board that they are beatable by teams showing more hunger. We have to get a result. He should not be in charge for it.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/crystal-palace-1-aston-villa-0-match-report-jason-puncheon-ensures-palace-are-all-but-safe-9256503.html

"Lambert also maintained his recent line that Villa have progressed immeasurably from last season, even if the actual numbers of the table don’t indicate that.

When pressed on it, and why the Villa manager thinks they’ve improved, he became agitated in hinting at issues behind the scenes. “You don’t know what’s happened,” Lambert said, before adding: “It’s private, I’m not going to tell.”"

Strange. Most likely just some bollocks excuse for losing, but maybe, just maybe, there is something to these new owner rumours after all?

To lose with Newcastle appears as if it was an impossibile task, according to the Sun.

"it's private, I'm not going to tell" to me is a shot fired at the board. He might be right but when you start making those kinds of suggestions then the sands of time are running out.

When Lambert is gone will he be known as TSM2?

The one from 1987 was still the worst.
