I realise it's difficult for those who were backing him right up to last week to admit they were wrong. I empathise with you as I thought he was the right man when we took him on and so I was wrong too. I just realised it ages ago. Those who didn't have taken great delight in telling us all to 'man up' or 'grow a pair' or some such other language over the last few weeks. They seemed to be revelling in the fact that they thought we were wrong. And if you Toronto, think I've revelled in it, then touche mate, I had you down as better than that. We can all be sanctimonious...

I don't think I've ever read a post from anyone so happy that their team has lost.

Cheap shot Dave, you can gang up on me all you like

You can give it out but you certainly can't take it.

Second cheap shot of the night Dave, you're on a hat trick now...

I said before that I think Lambert deserves a medal the size of a dustbin lid for the job he has done at Villa and I stand by it even after todays game.

I say it based on the financial constraints we have as a club given the importance of balancing the books after two to three years of heavy losses.

I also look at the job Martinez and Rogers have done at their respective clubs and feel Lambert could do the same here once more solid foundations have been built.

Interesting post and Up till this weekend I agreed with the first two paragraphs.

Have never agreed with the third one though.

Oh and as we've just lost at hoe to the bottom placed team (a team that has now done the double over us) and in so ensured our highest home defeat tally of any Villa side I'm depressed enough as it is. We don't need posters turning on each other in an "I know better than you" kind of way.

We are all pissed off.

I'd hope there was some sort of performance related break clause in the contract.

This made me laugh.

This is from an Owner / CEO who didn't have a contingency plan when O'Neill fucked off, recruited (eventually) an ill Has Been Domeneque fan and side kick stooge who messed up in record timeand followed this up with the single most disastrous appointment in the modern history of Villa.

This little lot cost us the best part of £15m including a fairly hefty goodwill payment to our near neighbours.

And you think they have the vision to have a performance related clause.

They were going to offer him a new contract a few weeks back.

You mean McAllister? I thought he did rather well. Probably the only bright point in the past few years.

I mean both of them - they turned us from Top 6 into Relegation Scrappers 3 months after they took over. Only spending £30m+ in January saved us. And even then he had to bring back players they had apparently alienated.

I seem to recall when McAllister was solely in charge for a few months we did rather well. For sure he pissed off some players, from the outside it seemed to be with good reason as he worked them a lot harder than they liked.

My dispondancy turned to anger at today's final whistle. Just how long do we have to put up with this pathetic excuse of a manager. We're relegation waiting to happen if he stays after this season.

I just don't get why the numbers at the top are so screwed to keeping him. Please, someone, tell me how he could be doing any worse than he is. How can anyone still want him here. U were all so quick to nail into big eck, be careful what you wish for...

Lee B was telling me on here only last week how all his friends are happy with Lambert so perhaps he could find out from them and let us know?

With respect Richard, that's about the third post on this thread so far where you seem to be revelling in fact you lost faith quicker than others.

I had you down as better than that.

I was thinking the same thing. Nobody should be happy that this is happening and everyone should have wanted him to succeed. You'd think that those of us that might have had a different approach are somewhat embarrassed by our position. I'm not, I'm just massively disappointed.
For balance there a fair few posters who have been taking delight in telling the Lambert out's how wrong they are,and they tend to hunt in packs.
They don't only do that. They also ridicule other posters. You can set your clock by them.

This is when you know it's the end for the manager.2 camps of fans with different views having a go at each other.
Then fights start between fans at games.
Then a bedsheet comes out.
Randy it's time.

Richard, what point are you trying to prove when telling people you knew all along this how it would end up? None of us really know how things are going to turn out, and if you end up being right or wrong it still doesn't mean you knew it all along. Right now, I don't see any value in scoring points. We should all be in this together, and for the first time most people on here are of the same opinion. It's not a good day.
TV you are the only one trying to score points and start on people tonight.

It's a normal night then.

So Houllier getting ill was good then? Well we should have cut out the middle man and not hired him. And hired the ex Leeds / Boro assistant as manager from the start then? Clealry.

I was just thinking the same - given it's Palace away next and Southampton home the next two games, this could all get even uglier. I realise before anyone points it out that I want us to lose those two games. In fact, I will positively revel in it.

Blimey, I figured it wouldn't be too long before you stepped in. I fully expect within a post or two for you to advise me that my posts aren't relevant because I don't go to the games. I know you want to.

Not as much as I do. Can we start an argument about who hates him the most? It's been great on here tonight, everyone getting down to the real nuts and bolts of it all and saying what they think
