Had enough now.  Lerner wants to have a serious look in the mirror as well though.

I would boot him tonight. Give it to anyone with a fucking plan till May. We are a fucking shambles.

He's not going anywhere.

He is doing enough for them. So long as we don't get relegated, they're happy with him.

That's their considered opinion of what is acceptable for the club. Between them, and this manager, they're wringing the life out of this club.

It's all well and good banging on about injuries - which he will - but injuries happen, that's why you have a squad, and our squad is fucking awful - that is a squad which he has built. It is also a squad which, with far fewer injuries, has looked equally poor throughout this season.

There is not a team in this league who would not have beaten us today, we were so pathetic.

He's going nowhere, though, so it's going to be like it or lump it.

We are pathetic, and if this trend continues we'll be gone within the next 2 years.

I've previously thought booting him now would make no sense, but honestly, I don't see how he's going to get anything more on the table in the next six games, so I don't think it'll make much difference.

He's worse than Mcleish!!

This.

He cannot be allowed to continue, he's out of his depth, tactically inept, he's a chancer.

If he does go should Faulkner go as well?

Where do you start with this shithouse? 10 home defeats this season, Fulham doing the double over us. Second worst Villa manager I've ever seen. Fuck off!

I hope he's in the Aston Lane job centre sorting out his future dole money.

I've been in the Lambert out camp far too long.

Lambert's had plenty of time with the squad, and there's been no qualitative improvement in the way we play. One suspects that when we produce good football, it's in spite of him rather than because of him. The players are poor at the basics: passing, movement, positioning. The tactics are suspect and seem to veer wildly from all-out defence to wildly gung-ho. At no point do we ever really control games for sustained periods, even against supposedly weaker opposition. We play like we did under MON, except now we have a far inferior squad. The manager isn't able to get the best out of his players consistently, in the way that even a lunk-headed dinosaur like Pulis can.

I can't see any justification for keeping him on.

Turned out to be a big disappointment. The home results are utterly unacceptable on his watch.

The elephant in the room is who replace him with.

And bearing in mind who will be doing the recruitment I could honestly see us ending up with someone worse. Remember who they:

a) Had as first choice last time. (OGS)
b) Who was recruited prior to that. (TSM)
c) Who was recruited prior to that. (Ill and Out of Touch). And how long it took.

Many refuse to look a the evidence before our  eyes. Those appointing the managers are more to blame than the managers themselves.

They are leading us to one place and one place only.

I can now with the injuries see us falling to even reach the 38 points McLeish put together.

We will survive with a couple of draws but we'll seriously struggle to win another game this season.

Just not good enough.

Yes - before he is allowed to hire another dud.

It should never have got to this stage. He should've had the boot long ago, and if he hadn't followed McLeish i'm sure he would have. Beyond all realms of what is and what should be considered acceptable by Aston Villa Football Club.
