What's also annoying me at the moment is the local press, especially the Mail who put no pressure whatsoever on Villa even though we're going through the worst period in 25 or so years. Back in the day we had journalists who had the balls to stand up to the club and print what they wanted. Now we have sycophants like Kendrick and co who are frightened to upset anyone just in case the club takes away there ability to print Ashley Westwood's favourite colour or Benteke's favourite brand of sunglasses.
The local press are now nothing more than mouth pieces for the club.
You will see them turn when they get the word that Lambert is on the ropes. I have had that vibe from some of them recently. Can't remember who though.

In fairness, this isn't even the worst period in 2 years, we are 13th. Last year we finished 15th.

In fairness if they criticise the club they get slated on here.

4th consecutive relegation battle. When was the last time that happened to Villa?

If my memory serves me well:

1965/66   Survived
1966/67   Relegated to Div 2
1967/68   Survived
1968/69   Relegated to Div 3

So we aren't 11th any longer? Must keep up to date with these things.

It was just an age thing. Being not quite old enough to drink, but still managing to, visiting loads of new grounds, just the atmosphere about the whole place. I always think that we were all privileged to be in the right place at the right time.

I wonder if he realizes this could be the line in the sand moment with the fans if things go pear shaped. I've seen and heard nothing from the Club to make me think they are anything but completely oblivious to it.

Well apparently there was an 'inquest' held by the team after Sunday's defeat.

Where did you hear that? Here's hoping they pull the finger out from now on.

Doesn't really sound like much of an inquest to me

Just started on the Kendrick thread. I sense the international phone lines have been busy.
