As ridiculous as that rumour sounds it's probably about one of the only things that can explain why we look so abject and like a bunch of strangers being managed by a stranger week in week out.
But as has been pointed out, it is typically O'Neill-like, along with the bomb squad, 65/75 min subs, baffling decisions, vindictiveness etc.

Can we therefore describe him as a poor man's O'Neill?

What amazes me about Lambert is just how serious he is about the nonsense he speaks.  Does he really expect us to believe it?

So someone has heard someone with nothing to do with the club on TalkSport who has heard (from who?) that Lambert just strolls in and out of the dressing room. Excuse me if I file it under complete bollocks. We're crap enough without having to dream up more problems.

I think he should be removed from his job, for various reasons it's just not working..
But we have to look at the bigger picture at Villa Park, the absent/non-communicating/cost cutting owner is the real problem we have..
Until Lerner decides to sell Aston Villa expect more of the same or worse and I'm not joking when I say worse because over the last four seasons we have declined with every season that has passed and eventually it's going to catch up with us, to be really honest I have a nasty feeling we're going to get sucked into the bottom three this year..

He's got away with murder since he's been here. Last season's humiliations were hard to take and the fact that he somehow managed to survive that and still be here to humiliate us this season tells us everything we need to know about the ambitions of a certain Randy Lerner.

Agree, Lambert should've gone after the C Palace and particularly the Sheffield United FA Cup defeats. Lerner is just hopeless. I've got zero respect for him as he never talks to his paying customers (there'll be one less next season). I find it insulting to be honest.

I feel the same, along with many others. If we get relegated this season we will not be seeing Premiership football for a long time at Villa Park.

Lerner and Faulkner are the ones getting away with murder. As I said on another thread, Ellis faced protesters in 2000 when we had been solidly top 8 in the previous five seasons. It's almost as if some people hated Ellis so much they want to just overlook how bad things have been getting under Randy for the past four seasons.

Absolutely.  Abramovich is always consulting the Chelsea fans.  We're back to having enough to critisise them about without having to dream up extra stuff.

There is a lot of emotive language being used here; vindictive, humiliated, insulted. Its only a game and a hobby. Expensive, yes, but lets keep it all in proportion.

At least Abramovich is at every match with his finger on the pulse. Look mate, there's a major crisis unfolding at the club and I think we need some answers from our leader as to the future direction the club decides to go. As a season-ticket holder for many, many years I'm entitled to say what I think!

You missed out 'Entertainment' of which there has been next to nothing at VP since 2010.

I voted yes on him deserving it at the end of the season. Now would be suicide.

I don't get that - to me, not to sack him now would be suicide.
