If he is relaxed then he is on some serious medication.
The rest of us are far from relaxed Mr Lambert.

Jon sums it up there for a lot of fans.

Any manager who succeeds at VP means the Villa are succeeding!

The terrible home performances are like scar tissue now - that is why we all make the involuntary groan of dismay when the first ball goes astray - we don't want to but it hurts - and that scar is prodded and worried at for the full 90 minutes until the final blow sends us slouching home to looks of pity and disbelief.

Just give us something to get behind - look at the Arsenal match - we lost but cheered them on. JUST TRY!

I'm overseas right now. Wasn't having a good day yesterday. Couldn't get the kids to sleep, Aus had just knocked WI out of U19 World Cup.

Anyway, finally got set for the evening. Real deal on TV - SA v Aus Test Match, King of sports, scrambling around to find commentary from Newcastle on TalkShite International.

It's the standard format. Commentator and c list former pro. Was listening intently because I could not work out who the former pro was. Stantand, bland, mockney accent. Turns out it was somebody called Watson, former Reading and Spurs I think. Also turns out it was not the Villa game it was Pool v Swans. Commentator asks Watson for view on our game.

"Yeah, I'm hearing some really bad things out of the Villa dressing room. All is not well. They hardly see Lambert. He wanders into the dressing room before kick off team sheet in hand. He reads out who's starting and who's sub. Turns around and walks out. They have no idea of the formation, often they can't hear who's in and who's sub. It's then a mad scramble with Culverhouse to confirm what the team is and what the formation is".

Holy shit.

Well, if that's true, it explains a lot of the performances.

It doesn't however explain why he is the manager of Aston Villa Football Club.

Exactly - we have been playing dark ages football at home for what seems like an eternity. 2010 - 2014 (included)

Regardless of whether he thinks we will go down or not, should he really be relaxed given our recent displays? Frankly we've been rubbish for most of the season now.

I won't feel we are in a fully blown crisis until the inevitable James Nursey Shit-Stirring Special is doing the rounds.

It's not the first time that suspicions have been raised as to exactly how hands-on Lambert really is.

No need to worry then -

@MatKendrick: No panic: Paul Lambert feels as relaxed about Villa's Premier League position as he did a few months ago #avfc http://t.co/aCOxEyYtvm?

He really doesn't get it, does he? When will he wake up and realise we desperately need points. Still, apparently we were "excellent" in the first half yesterday. If that's what he defines as excellent then god help us. No wonder the players seem so relaxed, like Wigan, we've been here before so no need to panic.

Anybody who saw the Norwich - Spurs game will have seen a team fighting for their lives, showing 100% commitment and coming away with a deserved 3 points. No doubt their confidence has been given a big lift too.

As for the poll on here, does sacking him mean now or at the end of the season? If it's at the end of the season, count me in. This is no kneejerk reaction to another defeat, it's an honest reflection of seeing a man clearly out of his depth, with no plan other than to take his time and no answer to what the fans require from Aston Villa.

I voted yes on him deserving it at the end of the season. Now would be suicide.

Laudrup and Laursen to replace him please.

Is there any proof of this?

Jeeps we need more than a part time manager ala Martin O'Neill.

It used to wind me up that BFR would be on ITV during the season not being fully focused on Villa.

Last time I read a James Nursey article he was telling Villa fans the team were on course  and that the needed to be more patient.

Sounds worryingly familiar.

He's got away with murder since he's been here. Last season's humiliations were hard to take and the fact that he somehow managed to survive that and still be here to humiliate us this season tells us everything we need to know about the ambitions of a certain Randy Lerner.

The fact that there seems to be no consistency to our tactics would indicate all is not well. It's like he can't work out a formula that works.

IF that is true sounds VERY MON like which doesn't surprise me in slightest.
