Why will our mid-week match be more significant than the humping they took at Anfield?

They are there for the taking. Injuries, on a wobble, playing poorly, a ground where we have an excellent record of picking up results.

And a style of play which we do well against away from home - high line, committing players forward, leaving nice open spaces on the counter.

Famous last words, but if Gabby is fit to play, then I think we have a very good chance of winning it.

Distin, Coleman, Lukaku and Traore all out. Not sure who they will play up front?

We need to repeat the Liverpool game and press the living day lights out of Barry and McCarthy.

They'll struggle for goals without Lukaku. They're still a decent side and hard to beat though. We're not too shabby away from home.

Draw written all over it I reckon.

1-1
Benteke.

I'd take the draw now but seeing how they performed against that Albion defence recently and with them missing some key players a win for us would not be a shock.

Tom Ince is stuck in the Channel Tunnel and is desperate to get out in his attempts to find a way out of Blackpool.

You can say that about any side though. Look how awful Everton looked without Distin the other night.

One thing that's held us back this season (other than our home form) is not building on good results. We go to Sunderland and get a good win, only to lose to Sheffield United a few days later. Tomorrow's another chance to build on the last few decent results and a point would be fine but with the amount of players they have out, we can beat them.

The only thing I am certain of is that the view will be terrible as normal.

I am certain that Everton fans will whinge and moan about absolutely everything and sing their one song, maybe once.

Awful fans.
