I didn't see any trouble?
It's not like it's a proper derby.

The Albion escort was attacked near the church and there were some fisticuffs.

No. Proper derbies aren't allowed to kick-off at 7.45pm.

As I left the Swan & Mitre I seen the escorted Albion contingency being sent in the opposite direction of the Adventurers, a good move by the police. They were escorted up the Lichfield Rd and I assume along Church Lane to re join Queens Rd/Witton Lane having by passed the Ads. This allowed patrons of the Ads time to successfully organize the ambush (fisticuffs) by the Church.

There were a metric shitload of old bill outside the burger van next to the Aston Social last night. I thought they were all queueing up to buy butties.

Disturbances outside the away ends with more fisticuffs too and also outside the Old Contemptables in town.
Fisticuffs being actually "I say young man, have some of this you rotter!" with punches traded, rather than the usual jumping up and down and arm waving while shouting "c'mon then!" pavement dancing.

A minibus load came down the Broadway at 7:20 with a couple of Baggies shouting and banging the windows.
They had to stop at the "T" junction by the mosque and it looked like jolly japes were about to ensue.
Assault was halted by the sight of the trio of 70 year-old women looking rather shocked sitting in the rear seats.
Thankfully sense prevailed although the two "lads" on the bus seemed to think this was to do with their potential fighting prowess.

I'm going to wait for the book by a reformed hooligan in 30 years that remembers 'rumbles' in the tiniest detail to find out the real truth of what happened last night.
'There were 700 of their top lads tooled up and 3 of us....'
