There’s no way Erdington is as bad as Bootle.

Erdington is a nice place to live but I wouldn't want to drink there.

Bootle is a mahoosive dump. I also can't think of the place without the a bloke walking his goose down the high street.

I worked in Erdington High St for 24 years and always tried to avoid going out at lunchtime if I could.

There’s no way Erdington is as bad as Bootle.

And there's no way Longton is as bad as Erdington.

Who?
I think most people remember it for being the place James Bulger was abducted.

They do have a good beer festival on at the Gladstone Pottery Museum once a year but the rest looks very familar:

Sorry Pete, but it’s a kip mate. I used to work at The Digby, and it wasn’t bad overall. People, many as shady as they were quite good to me. But would I go out as a minority in the area? My late night association with Erdington was passing through, grabbing a kebab or mini fish and chips from Big John’s and then peg it out of there.

You may guess from my name where I live, and further up this thread someone passed reference about the Keys, I don't make a habit of drinking in Erdington, well tbh I don't make a habit of drinking much any more, BUT I was intrigued as to a persons opinion about the keys and so I happened upon the Cross Keys on my way home around 19:30 last night, I always thought the pub was ok, and imo its a little better than that, I went in the bar had a couple or three John Smith absolutely no bother on the contrary actually passed the time of day with another punter at the bar, left there about 20:30 grabbed a curry from balti delight (excellent) and tootled off home. so no THE KEYS is an ok place for a drink. anybody ever drank in chelmsley wood I have oh f hell argh now that's a territorial place , try drinking there without anybody knowing you, then talk to me about Erdington.
