You might struggle as Man United are playing Sevilla that night. I assume there is a Spanish version of the Aussie Bar with loads of tellies?

ads cardiff will bring loads never under estimate our support in south wales in big games

we will fill out our allocation no probs for this one even mid week south wales is looking forward to this one . if a weekend fixture we would ask for more tickets such is the interest in this game down here  . the feel good factor and the area is buzzing right now

looking forward to a few pints in  erdington again !

What sort right minded person would look forward to drinking in Erdington? 😀

You can’t account for how important Local knowledge is. I had a short break in South Wales a few years ago and found a lovely beach at Aberavon. It was only when I spoke to a local a few weeks later that I basically went to the eqivilent of Tipton.

I must say High Street is very depressing nowadays not that it was ever that pleasant. I have had to go to the HSBC branch as it’s the nearest one to me still open on occasions and it’s not an enjoyable experience. It’s a case of get in and get out pdq.

The kind of right minded person who would want to visit friends who drink there perhaps?

See you in the Acorn mate......or not (or whatever it's new name is as think it's had a name change in recent months).

The Cross Keys by the station is another dodgy establishment.

Yeah Star City is fine for evening parking. 15 minute walking.

I have a funny feeling that the Yenton may be his preferred watering hole pre-match.

Yenton is technically in Wylde Green but I take your point.

Edgy but Villa pub and had some enjoyable times in there watching us beat SHA in a couple of away games. Still pop in there on occasions on a Sunday.

Erdington, the u-bend in the toilet of North Birmingham

Hey, hey, hey... I grew up in Erdington

No, you're absolutely right. Especially that bit there. I remember the Lloyds Bank on the corner opposite the library and swimming pool, a Co-op, the WH Smiths, the shitty market, that pub (I forget the name). Just a series of tat shops all the way up to where Woolworth's used to be. Littlewoods fucked off and it became another store selling cheap shit. And the article is spot on. The people (if that's what they can be referred to, just loitering with zero intent to provide any kind of value to society.
