I can't seem to find the Curling tables anywhere.

Here you go

Thank you, so the men need to win and hope Norway lose, or match their result and win a play-off and the women need to win to be guaranteed through, or hope that China and Japan both lose, or win a play-off.

Well, that's that cleared up then

The women won, they play again this afternoon. They go through if they win or if either Japan or Switzerland fail to win. If they lose and both Japan and Switzerland win they play-off against Japan for a semi spot.

The men have just lost but luckily so did Norway. GB play-off against Norway for a semi spot tomorrow.

Scratch that, if the British women lose and Japan win, they go into play-offs regardless of the outcome of the Swiss match, according to the BBC.

Is this why the Americans don't bother with curling?  In their world of straight forward wins and losses this set up would blow their minds!

Now, according to the BBC, the British women curlers are through to the semis regardless of their result against Denmark (currently winning 3-2). I wish they'd make their minds up!

All the pictures on BBC of Eve on the ice seems to show that Muirhead is something she is good at.

I'll get my coat.

I'm not sure what the sport is called, but the six snow boarders racing against each other is great.

There's plenty of times when the Americans don't do "straight forward wins and losses". In fact the NFL playoffs and NCAA Basketball tornament are just about the only times that they do straight knock out.

Don't get me started on the "double elimination" system that's used in NCAA Baseball.

I watched some of the ice dancing tonight whilst on the bike/rower in the gym.

Shame that the incredible Tessa Virtue and partner lost out Meryl Davis, her nose and partner

These games are confined to the rich countries of the world so not a good representation of olympic ideals of brother/sisterhood and unity.  And there is far too much posing, acting and make up involved for these to be a true test of athleticism despite some daredevil stuff on the slopes.
