Bizarrely I would have preferred to see a less strong team. Would've liked to see Helenius and Donacien get some game time.

I suggest those two play against Arsenal.

I think it says more about the strength of the squad, not sure he had that much choice without giving up the game and coming in for a boa load of criticism.
Our second string are no where near good enough to take on the Blades.

Yes, that would be excellent for our young squad.  There was a manager in the league recently who liked to single out his players for bad performances, how many games did he last again?

That's how interpreted it. Many others didn't.

To be fair, it's not unreasonable to infer from what he said that he'd rest players from the FA Cup to save them for the league.  That's the obvious conclusion.  To see today that he hasn't done so is a) great, and b) makes me wonder, as I said, whether he changed his mind over the last couple of days.
