Lots of snow and Yorkie to win it with a chipped penalty.

The TV made a lot of Lamberts interview last night. He made News at Ten. Lady Ron asked 'what did he just say?'

Havent got a clue, said I. truthfully.

I'd definitely play Tekkers. He needs a goal.

I would go

Steer

Lowton
Donancien
Clark
Luna

Sylla
KEA
Albrighton
Tonev

Helenius
Bowery

With the rest on the bench. It should still be enough to win, and gives players a break. Afraid I am with Lambert on the timing of the fixture.

I like the look of that but i'd go with Gabby rather than Helenius. Lower league sides can't cope with pace very well and they'll be used to dealing with 6ft centre forwards.

I would have gone with Gabby too had Kozak not been injured. I just feel like now Helenius really needs a full game as he's likely to be our plan B upfront now.

I see no reason why  it should not be the team that  started against Sunderland minus Vlaar. We don't have a League match for 10 days so play the best available.

I don't get it, isn't the FA Cup third round always this weekend?  We don't have a league game for 9 days - it is just like having a league game today, surely?  A cup run would give them a huge boost in confidence.

The sort of game that we would have won 5-0 several years ago. I will wind that down to 3-0.

and I agree with you. But Lambert will select a weakened team and if we get through he will select another weakened team. Im going down but I expect it will be a very low crowd.

Looking forward to this, I was born just down the road from Bramall lane and most of my family support united or Wednesday. My parents moved to Birmingham hence me and my younger brothers and sisters supporting the greatest Team in the world.

Its funny how a time or an event changes your whole life but without that event, I would be in the opposite end today!

I can honestly see this being a fairly boring defeat. But it is also winnable even if we make a few changes, provided we maintain some of our better players throughout the side

Something like:

Steer - Lowton donacien Clark Luna - albrighton sylla Delph bacuna - Bowery / helenius benteke

Look to give benteke an hour or so. Ideally we'd get to see Gardner and one or two other kids but I think if we put too many in we'll lose

Villa to just squeeze home 2-1, be good to see how Donacien performs so really hope he starts the match, such a shame Lambert made those comments, I understand his thinking but although its so long ago we have a very proud heritage in this competion and he would have been better keeping those thoughts to himself, lets get ourselves into the 4th round and then march on to our 8th F A Cup Final win  :) :)

I just see no reason at all to play Benteke. He has been out injured, came back quickly and looked much more himself, but rest is much better than risking him today. Helenius has been bought to do a job, and he should be trusted with playing a league 1 side!

Ditto, Donacien is good enough for this level and so are the likes of Gardner, Sylla etc. KEA will look better as the game will not be as fast, and over all even with my proposed side I think we should win comfortably.
