I was once a massive fan of Lerner but I have to say I'm rapidly losing patience with him. Is it enough for Villa to merely exist or should we be trying to compete?

Mixed feelings about this half. If we sneak a win here somehow is it just papering over the cracks? Sounds crazy but are we better off getting battered and forcing Lerner to make a change?

The change could be replacing Lambert or freeing up funds and wages.
Don't sound like we have a few cracks sounds like its a gaping hole..

It is very disappointing to see us punting the ball forward continually.

We just cannot keep hold of the ball at all.

Palace are doing well at Man City. Never thought I'd be jealous of the way Tony Pulis can organise a ragtag bunch of players.

The problem isn't that they don't think they can attack, the problem is that they have no patience and try to attack right at the goal every time they get the ball - a position compounded by 4-4-2 because 4-4-2 is a counter-attacking formation, not a front-foot formation.

Not true, it completely depends on the type of players you have playing and how you instruct them.

England played 4-4-2 in the Euros a couple of summers ago and were painfully neutral/defensive.

Yes. That's what I'm saying - it's a defend and counter formation at best, and if you try to use it to play proper football on the front foot then it will fail.

Again no. England weren't counter attacking.

Man United have won championships with a 4-4-2 and didn't counter attack.

Since one month I have reached the same conclusion.

Yes was some booing
Lack of funds issue not a worthy argument against Swansea and especially Palace. It's poor purchases and poor tactics

Spot on +  poor management
Only one person to blame and that us Randy, is he there today ?

Not just randy to blame !
Who then? Randy allowed MoN to spunk millions...

Luna looks non league. If we don't have a youth team player better than him then we might aswell fold them and please stop bringing 11 fucking players back to defend a corner you twat.
