So are all local newspapers, to be honest. It must be difficult for them, jockeying around for a new status and role in the digital world.

I'm no expert - but surely local papers should be about being 'local' more than anything else? Now that they syndicate more and more of the news feeds, the news becomes less and less local. And people stop buying it as a result. Hence the death spiral.

As for the library - nice touch. Plus if it hacks off the oi polloi, then even better.

Just came across a Q&A with Chris Lepkowski.

First Albion game I saw was a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn in 1987. First-ever match I saw was Villa 1, Norwich 4 in autumn 1986. I was stood in the away end that day - though I have no allegiance whatsoever to Norwich.

You couldn't make it up. I'll bet he wildly celebrated those four Norwich goals.

Another piece in today's Mail on the uproar from Noses regarding the library link up with the Villa. Some of the comments from them are hilarious. I doubt there's another club in the country who despise their neighbours as much as the Sty lot hate us.
