Every time we play them at home I think, this is the time, we'll win this one. Sadly it never works out that way, even a draw would be progress.

Manure may well be on a downward spiral but I'm sure they will suspend their run of losses to spank us and then return to their poor form.

I tend to take a view based on "It is what the Villa do".

I thought we would win at Southampton. Why? Because they had won 5 on the spin at home and had a miserly defence. We have not been playing well and are struggling for goals. A Villa win all day long. It is what we do.

I had us to lose at Fulham. They have lost 7 on the bounce and are struggling for goals. We came off the back of a good win and our pace should trouble such an old team. Guaranteed home win. It is what we do.

So I am somewhat torn about the weekend. Man Ure at home? Well losing that fixture is what we do.

However, springing a surprise win over one of the big boys when we have been playing poorly and are struggling with injuries? We do that as well.

So who knows what the score will be.

I have a bad feeling about Villa.

If ever there was a team that deserve a result against us, its Villa at Villa Park.
We have had it too easy down there for years.

If we can manage to beat them, then we should go on a mini run and beat the other shit teams like Stoke, Norwich etc.

Villa away is propbably the toughest of the next 5 fixtures.
Benteke and Agbongalor could run riot through our defence.

 :)

They haven't been bang up for it all season, hence why its December, we're 11th and Man United are only 3 points and two places higher.

They know this is a must win game and that attention will be focused on them - I think they will be fired up for this game although I think the title is long gone .

I agree, they're our bogey team and they need to re-fire their season, so a visit to B6 at this time is just the Christmas present they want with the bonus of no Vlaar and dodgy full backs.

I also doubt their much vaunted New year surge will occur this year, too many teams on a par or better above them.

Man United aren't our bogey team at all. They have beat just about everybody on a consistent basis over the past 20 years.

Now they're getting beat because they're not very good.

It's worth remembering for all the piss taking we do (me included) about how shit they are these days, they've lost only 2 of the last 16 and just finished top of their CL group. And in both those defeats they hit the woodwork at 0-0 which could have changed both results. They may not be the Manure of old and we shouldn't be shitting it playing them, but they haven't suddenly turned into Norwich either.

I think we'll pull out a massive performance on Sunday, completely against our current form. It will literally come from nowhere. Crisp, tidy passing, hard pressing and running the channels, opening them up all over the place. They won't know what's hit them.

I don't but the line about our players not being good enough, they just don't know how to play. Sunday it will all come together and it will be the big payback we all want against the Plastics.

But every year they lose to a team worse than us, newly promoted sides, etc. the likes of Burnley, Norwich, Southampton etc.  Our turn must come.

But he says 'probably the toughest' and also describes Norwich and Stoke as 'the other shit teams'...Is he suggesting we're one of these shit teams or not? :) Hard to tell.
