Whoever else Lambert picks on Sunday, as a bare minimum he has to play Lowton at RB and move Bacuna to midfield. Bacuna is clearly uncomfortable at RB and is prone to making costly errors there (Albion's 2nd goal springs to mind). Unless Vlaar makes an incredible recovery I still think we're really vulnerable at the back so I'd pack the midfield - Bacuna, KEA, Westwood, Gabby and either Tonev or Albrighton, getting crosses in to Benteke and protecting the back 4. Whatever the result, even if we get a seeing-to, we can take consolation from the fact that they may well not make CL places this year, which would be hilarious

I agree I'd like to see Bacuna in midfield but I wouldn't be surprised if Lambert plays Sylla there instead and leaves Bacuna at right back.

They haven't been bang up for it all season, hence why its December, we're 11th and Man United are only 3 points and two places higher.

They know this is a must win game and that attention will be focused on them - I think they will be fired up for this game although I think the title is long gone .

Why weren't they up for it against Newcastle?  We aren't we up for it?

I have a feeling in my bones that we'll win this one.  I doubt we'll get a better chance.  Let's say 3-2.

His status on Physioroom is 'no return date'; last week before the Fulham game it was 'late fitness test', so my guess is he's nowhere near returning for this game at least

The last game was a must win game and attention was focused on them. They ballsed that up too.

Is it acceptable to wear Santa hats at games? Might crack it out for Sunday.

You can if you want but I'm warning you, it'll be a painted face and jester's hat before you know it.

The one thing I really hate is southern reds trying to do a Manx accent. (...snip)

I have a brummie mate who's a Liverpool fan and such is his need to prove himself he genuinely pronounces Liverpool as "Liverpeul" as a scouser might. I could only laugh.
