It's a lovely goal for Shane long that isn't it? Baker and Clark should have been tighter.

Second one is great too

Gary Neville making some good points about how split out defence was on the second goal.

There are a number of ways villa are perhaps set up to mirror some of the latest tactical thinking. But these are top clubs and players. Not convinced we've got the players to split our defence like that, or bunch so many players in the middle of the pitch.

That line up doesnt scare the shit out of me mind. I see Shane Long ultimately survived Hutton's tackle to take part tonight.
Payback time methinks.

Can we get dispensation from the league to use more than 3 subs? 3 is simply not enough with this shower of shite.

Sylla and Bacuna don't like being in possession of a football which is often a major disadvantage for a football team. Not good enough, nor will they be.

Bacuna is fine but the mistake has affected him, you don't go from scoring a belter like he did after a great burst through the middle to never being good enough in an hour of football.  Sylla looks well short of fitness and skill, if he's been training like this I can understand why KEA has played so often.

Hard to blame the players - the general set-up of the team is as clueless as I can remember seeing for a while.
Clark on the left? Again? Hasn't Lambert bought TWO left backs? Where are they?

Injured.

Ah, well scratch that one, I thought they were back now.

very poor but it wouldn't surprise me if we get back into this. Early goal and they might shit it.

Frantically thinking of excuses I can use tomorrow with my WBA colleagues. Any thoughts?

That's just a bit sad mate.  You're beating your neighbours and you're on here.

Fuck u lambert fuck u

Its too easy to blame Lambert mate that's not the issue.

A great first touch and an extremely poor pass is the issue.

It might have been a good first touch, but Baker was once again caught ball watching and out of position.

The problem with how we've lined up is that Clark doesn't have the raw pace to bomb up and down like Luna was.  He's probably reluctant to as well given the nightmare going on inside him.

We've started a lot of games at half pace this season & you can't get away with it every week.

We started with 3 at the back & we've got fucked almost every time we've played that system. Why does Lambert think we can play with 3 at the back? Baker is shit with the ball at his feet & has little or no awareness of attackers around him. He's great at recovery or last ditch challenges but that shows how poor a defender he is. Clarke is only marginally better.

The less said about Tonev the better.

Too many players who are not good enough or not ready at this level.

Bottom line is we are piss poor, lack quality & Lambert is tactically just as bad.
