If they're good enough for the bench then start them even if it's only for 60 mins.

Can't risk starting with 2 or 3 players who may only last an hour.

against the risk of that team not being good enough and needing the same 2-3 players to drag us out the mire in the final 30?

Yes. Common sense you don't start 2 or 3 players that you know are unlikely get past the hour mark. Unless you think the risk of spending the last 20 minutes down to 9 or 10 players is worth it.

Subs: Steer, Weimann, Herd, Bowery, Lowton, Delph, Agbonlahor.

I say we see how it goes then bring Delph on in the 2nd minute.

Ha ha ha, that made me laugh like a loon. Very good.

That line up doesnt scare the shit out of me mind. I see Shane Long ultimately survived Hutton's tackle to take part tonight.

Of all the variations I could think of I didn't think we'd name an unchanged side. Though lambert does like to do that after a win.

I've come round to keeping bacuna at right back for his defensive strengths. But the midfield looks weak and the front two static. Though it's possibly a line up to be nice and solid, there's not too much speed on the break.

But Weimann gabby and Delph to come on could give us a real gee up. I just hope it's not to come back from two down

Tonev is either gonna smash one in the top corner or hit one of their fans in the face. It's a win/win situation.

While the team sheet has depressed me this has cheered me up!

I know players are coming back but it looks a stronger bench than first team.

Benteke and Kozak to concede world record number of free-kicks that aren't actually free kicks.

I wonder what Delph's injury was, because he's been out a while. I'd rather have him in the team, but at least we have strength on the bench if we need to change something. Come on Villa please win.

Hardly anything to be afraid of there - we will win!

Agreed. I wonder if it's a bit late in the day to get the game changed for a 5 a side game instead?

I thought Luna was fit after his injury - not even on the bench?

I'm listening to the game on the wireless. No shock that on 5Live Robbie the Robot thinks we'll lose.
