I would say that describing us as boring is about the most ridiculous adjective I can think of and completely removed from reality.

I'm not so sure given recent performances and quite frankly and very sadly, it is how fans of other teams I know see us. Or boring and irrelevant to be precise. That may well be a reflection on them etc and yes, many of them are johnny come latelys who have no real deep affection or knowledge of the game, but it is what it is and that's what they think. Perhaps it's just the ones I know and granted, not everyone thinks that but there are lots of hints out there that this is the general view of us at this moment in history

To be honest if ever we were to get a dodgy ridiculous penalty in the last minute to win a match I hope Monday will be the night - I would just love it !

This would be my preferred method of victory. Sour faced Albion fans paying us a back-handed compliment by moaning that decisions always go in favour of the big clubs.

We'll finish the job from last season. Benteke will get back on the goal trail and our overall better defensive play will see us through to 2-0 win. Cue lots of crying Tesco's blaming everything but themselves followed by a letter to FIFA requesting a replay, claiming that it is unfair that Villa are better than them.

Think this will be a draw again - 2-2, but now that the Boggies have received an  apology about the soft penalty awarded to Chelsea from referees' chief Mike Riley, I think either they will be given a soft penalty and/or we'll be denied a stonewall one which could influence the outcome

A run of four games makes us dull?

Lambert's reign has been very exciting and utterly unpredictable. I would love to turn up knowing what was going to happen, to be so tediously predictable, but we’re not in the least predicatble.

Unpredictable = yes
Very exciting = no

It isn't just a run of four games though is it? Not in truth. I've followed the Villa through the 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond and I know which era has been the most boring. By a mile..

Each to his own as you say Ads and I don't wish to hijack the thread. I knew my view (though it is rather, the view of others) would be unpopular

Each to their own.

May I ask how long you have been a fan ads if you think the lambert reign has been very exciting?
I would say the early 80s , mid to late 70s and early 90s were all very exciting but. Certainly not the last 16 months.

Mine too. I am caught between what I would love more; bladdering them 4 or 5 nil or instead winning via a dubious decision in the last seconds of the game.

The 4 or 5 nil bladdering please.
With every fu**ing topping you can think of!
