It's very amusing the reasons they are coming up with for struggling to sell 24,000 tickets for their cup final. We know what they are.

How dare they question the intelligence of Tamworthians. This is war now, come on Villa.  ;)

24,000 is about the same allocation as you get in the FA Cup final, so using that logic, they have sold out for their cup final.

Not sure where to put this mirror assessment of things -

You read part one yesterday and now Bearded Genuis is back to give his verdicts on positions number seven to 13 in the Premier League.

How have the league's nearly men been doing, and what have they got to look forward to for the rest of the season? All that  and, oh, don't forget BG's poppelgangers.

Over to the man himself for part two of his Premier League (so far) review:
Quote
Aston Villa

Ah Villa. Villa Villa Villa. Villa Villa Villa Villa . What have you become? I remember when you were sexy, exciting and relevant. Flirting with the top of the table; copping off with European qualification; enjoying dirty weekends at Wembley.

Look at you now. Driving a Ford Focus and wearing an oversized fleece by George. There’s only so much you can blame on having too many kids. I know Paul Lambert’s a good man. I know he does his best to make you happy. I just didn’t think you’d settle for ‘nice’.

Poppelgänger: Manic Street Preachers. You have to remind yourself they were good once. They got dull; they got fat. Worst of all they got comfortable.

No idea what it's got to do with anything to do with the Villa, btw!

Actually, I kinda know what he's getting at - we used to be cool, following us was always a bit of a cult thing in my mind because it made you different where I lived (and that wasn't why I follow us, it's in the family genes). Now, if I'm being honest, it's mostly pretty boring with one or two lovely exceptions such as the end of last season, albeit for all the wrong reasons...

I would say that describing us as boring is about the most ridiculous adjective I can think of and completely removed from reality.
