how on earth did we win at Arsenal?

Home form has corroded the confidence we had on the opening day. Hard work and closing down got us that win.

True. We also looked so fast, full of energy and exciting...

That's the thing lacking.

We do not fight to close teams down any more. I just don't understand why.

I haven't thought we've worked hard in any game since we were robbed at Chelsea.

Indeed - how have we gone from looking so good that day to the state we look today :(

If Lambert really wants the club to progress, he's going to have to ask Santa for a new midfield this Christmas. 'Cos this one isn't anything like good enough.

I'll take any kind of Villa goal right now and not care at all. But we're not really very good, it's true.

Swansea at home early last season we did it and it worked a treat. I'm stumped why we don't do it more.

To be fair to Lambert the midfield trio cost a combined £5m quid.

KEA is so irritating. I just want to grab him and ask him 'what do you offer?' Slow, a poor passer, slow, slow, slow......Tonev please. Anyone who runs forward with more pace than a dead ant.

Indeed. That whole aspect of our game has gone. I think it's because we did that and still, mostly, got beat. It must be very hard to motivate the players time after time with 'keep working hard, the results will come' when, in fact, they haven't.

Again we are maybe fortunate there are a few very poor sides in this division.

That's true. You can only buy 5/7ths of a Kozak for that.

While I would be pissed off to lose this, I couldn't say we could grumble, because it would be all to do with our failings.
