Is Lambert turning into MON?

Kick-and-rush counter-attacking football, clear favoritism in his selection, no real tactical acumen...oh but he doesn't wear a tracksuit anymore, so I guess not.

He doesn't wear a tracksuit any more, I'll give you that.

Its complacency knowing you will be picked.

Exactly. Weimann, Gabby and Westwood know they are in the team come what may. None of them are worth their place on current form.

Could not understand trying to play Gabby in the 10 position. He doesn't have the skill neither, and to my mind most importantly, the work rate. I would have taken Weimann off instead of Tonev, put Gabby wide and put Helenius in the 10 position.

The other thing that baffles me is what exactly do they do at Bodymoor all week? During the game they seem not to know what each other is going to do as if they are total strangers. Also I do not believe they are as fit as they should be, or, if they are, then PL should be demanding much more effort from them especially by the way of movement off the ball and by getting closer to opponents and closing them down quicker.

This was a game that Everton did not win but we lost. If the momentum and effort had been continued throughout the second half then we should have won. Instead we dropped off and the work rate dropped thus allowing them back into the game and eventually by standing off them, allowed them to score.

Enjoyed the first half. Once Everton scored felt like we imploded.

I thought we played well until their goal. Then it was disappointing just how quickly heads fell

I also think Lambert deserves great credit for the role Tonev played today which as afar as I could tell was to keep Baines quiet.
After the roles BenArfa and Townsend have played in recent games it was important not to allow him free reign and Tonev did his job very well

fredm your views are absolutely on the money, especially the bit about Lambert demanding more from them and trying to turn Gabby into some sort of poor man's Lampard was just a joke.

I am going to bed to dream that Doug is still in charge and the players and the manager and his incompetent staff are all bricking it that they will be given their cards on Monday morning.

All of this shit we are being served up comes from an absentee owner and nobody really being in charge.

I don't think..well actually i'm confident we won't get relegated but I'm not convinced were going to get any better (position wise)

Bent didnt want to stay as an impact sub. We need Big Time Charlie back asap..
I think he'd have settled for being a sub due to Bentekes form. It was the fact Bowery was making the bench over him forced his hand somewhat

thats the problem , Lambert sometimes aint got a clue. And he needs to stop losing at home because its getting mighty depressing

The fact that it was a real possibility for the last 3 seasons and now after a promising start, 2 points above the drop zone is very worrying, given the fact  we can't buy a win at home

Just home and once again to weary to wade through all the pages.   The pages I have read seem to give more credit to Villa than those I sit amongst would give them.   Our collective opinion in our bit of Holte Lower was that we were utter pants today.   Yes we did miss chances in the first half and the Gabby sitter in the second half but so did Everton and a half time score of 3-3 could have easily happened.
You obviously travel a long way to watch home games and I do respect that very much however we were NOT utter pants today. I suggest may be those around you should  try to give a little more support to the team but  if they fail to recognise  team's effort than I guess they are not going to do that.
