Both Everton and Liverpool will be pushing for top 4 finishes this season. We have lost at home to both in games we probably shouldn't have lost might well have won and in the end didn't deserve to get something out of because we failed to take our chances. Liverpool who are the better team offered nothing against us and got lucky with a piece of individual brilliance. Everton at least played and so did we. I see nothing to be upset about apart from the defeat. Oh and in 10 years time Westwood will BE Barry.

Of course this goes against PL's policy but he showed his value today and it sounds like he wanted to come back to the Villa. Still think we will be ok.I think it's more like we just won't pay the wages of players like Barry anymore. Sadly we're looking in the bargain basement these days and our one and only luxury is Benteke. That is depressing. Considering he'll almost certainly be gone by the start of next season

Quote from: olaftab on October 26, 2013, 06:50:25 PMI think we need to put cut throat razors away for now. Everton have been very good this season yet we should have been 3-1 up going in at half time. From start of second to about 60th minute the ball never left their half. Possession and pressure from us and that yielded number of corners but sadly no end product. The first time they open our defence they scored. A real sucker punch and they are second in the table and we hover above relegation yet no one watching that match would have ranked the teams that way. This is a win to Eveton just like last season but no way it can be compared to that performance wise.We do need to look at contribution of some regulars but for now let's not rip ourselves apart because luck deserted us today. But we seem to have sob stories for nearly every home game this season. When do you start to worry?

When do you start to worry?I agree and not just this season but almost every one now. There's always some reason to be optimistic apparently but it never materialises. Yes, we might play a tad better against one opponent than we did last season, a tad worse against another if you want to get forensic about it. But looked at on a more macro level, we are going nowhere and I find it extremely sad, tedious and very boring

Like comparing a 1st division player to a Premier league one, oh hang on that's basically what we're doing.
If we continue with these fucking corners I'm going to flying head butt Westwood from the upper north, then out pace the stewards and Glasgow kiss lambert for implementing these fucking ridiculous set pieces. We should at least have some variation. Westwood is doing it from both sides. Why not let Tonev or Bacuna take some. Tonev had a good inswinging corner against Malaga wher Vlaar scored and surely Bacuna can take an inswinging one as well. Just as a variation.

That's just my opinion, and comparing him to Barry is just plain laughable. Sometimes I wonder what Villa team others are watching.
