I would like to see Sylla and Tonev come in for this. I think we may well see the former, but Andi will stick around for another few games, depriving the later.

I really liked how busy Tonev looked, not only on the ball, but also off it. I think we need that big of something different to aid the supply through the centre, especially when we're playing decent sides who peg of full backs further back.

Not a bad call - Sunday was the brightest that Tonev has looked so far.

Few spelling mistakes in there. Its meant to say bit and not big, and also peg our, not of.

Would agree entirely. Andy needs a spell out. Sylla needs to be played. Tonev looked up for it and more importantly could also provide some width.
I'd be tempted to put Helenius in at some point too, possibly playing off Benteke.

I'm all for these changes aswell and would agree with the names suggested. We need to mix things up at home, it got us a result against Man. City after all.

Difficult to call. On our day we can bring off a result but I was disappointed with Lambert's tactics against Spurs. I think Martinez might be too smart for him too.

Its entirely possible that Lambert intended to set up the same way we did against City (3-5-2) for the spurs match but Clarks illness stopped that happening.

Will be interesting to see what he goes with against Everton, presuming that everyone is available again.

I feel old thinking about that 6-2 match!

I remember that game like it was yesterday and Daley's goal which I think made it 1-0.

Tony Daley didnt score - cowans got the 1st , olney 2 platt 2 and Nielsen .

I must be thinking of a different game then.

Didn't he get a corking volley against them in a 2-0 win early in the season when we had just come back up? I remember it because I missed it because I was on holiday in Majorca. Seem to remember we beat Spurs the week before or the week after as well.

I wonder if that's the game i'm thinking of? He seemed to fling himself in the air and volley it.

88-89 season, we wore the infamous Hummel halved shirt.

Correct, we played Spurs (won 2-1 I think) and Newcastle next and won 3-1, then there was the Millwall game in midweek in the cup which we also won, great times.

I'd go with

Guzan

Lowton
Clark
Baker
Luna

Sylla
Delph

Bacuna
Weimann
Agbonlahor

Benteke

Bacuna and Agbonlahor wide. Weimann playing a more central role.

This, but with Vlaar in for Baker, he's been a lot better this season and certainly doesn't deserve to be dropped for Baker

Speaking with an ITK earlier today. Looks like Everton will pick up Barry's £116k a week deal and sign him permanently in January.
