I remember that game like it was yesterday and Daley's goal which I think made it 1-0.

A little nostalgia to make us weep. We weren't able to keep a clean sheet in that game either. God OG as a bonus.

I can remember standing in my kitchen in Torquay where I lived at the time listening to this game on what must have been R2 I think back then as if it was yesterday

It was on ITV, what was wrong with your telly?

I was 9 and remember turning on at half time and it was 3-0, thinking if we keep up at this rate we'll get 6, sure enough we had in no time at all.

I would take a draw, 2-2. A point from them would represent a very decent haul having already played Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs and Everton in our first nine games.

Fuck it! I am going for an eximious 3-1 stomping.

I have absolutely no idea what "eximious" means but it sounds fantastic! Yeah! Bring it on!
It means "excellent". I read it in the Sun ;-)

Probably the only time that Cowans made a run through the defence and received a pass rather than delivering it. I'm still annoyed about those two goals they got at the end.

This will be a hard game for us but if we play like we did against Man City I think we can get a 2-1 win.

May as well just roll 2 dice for the score with this lot. No idea.

There is more chance of you seeing that word emblazoned on the actual sun than printed in the "newspaper."

Stood on the bottom left hand corner of The Holte for this game (Rastas' corner).  Nothing makes you feel older than looking back on past Villa games as if they were yesteday, only to find that they were actually 24 years ago almost to the day.

I can't predict this result but I do predict that we won't still be talking about it in 24 years time

I remember getting home to watch the game again that evening. Sir Graham going off at HT at 3-0 saying how the fans now expect us to get 4,5 or 6 which we proceeded to do. Shame about the two late goals but for 80 minutes or so we were superb that day.

Fuck me. I still think of what might have been had he not left for England. How different everything would be, what we'd hhave achieved, the players we's have kept and bought.

If it had been a bonfire at Small Heath FC it would have been a perfect day...

I would like to see Sylla and Tonev come in for this. I think we may well see the former, but Andi will stick around for another few games, depriving the later.

I really liked how busy Tonev looked, not only on the ball, but also off it. I think we need that big of something different to aid the supply through the centre, especially when we're playing decent sides who peg of full backs further back.

I remember the 6-2 game too but the gloss was taken off for me when we got home to find we had been burgled. Not long before Christmas either.
