other than the goal and that save, I wouldn't say spurs have offered much

They've been no better than us for aimlessly lumping the ball forwards. At least ours end somewhere near a Villa shirt instead of straight out of play.

Oh and their keepers kicking is the worst seen at Villa park since Bosnich.

I think on balance of play 0-0 would have been fair. Harsh to be losing this one IMO.

great save Brad! would have been unlucky to concede another before half time...ok Villa, I think we were ok, if a little dull. We do have it in us to score. Get Benteke on. You just know Lambert won't make a change though...stubborn, and I respect that. But, Benteke needs to be there

Spurs look shite for the £100m+ they've spent in the summer. Would love to see a fully fit Benteke have a go at Vertonghen.

At least we are consistent with the 'We can barely play premiership football' look of a football team

Have no fear. The beast will come on and turn the game into a comfortable 3-1 Villa win :)

And that 45 minutes explains exactly why I decided not to renew my season ticket this year.  You could combine all the talent together that's combined in all 11 of our players and it would not equate to 50 % of the talent of a player like Ozil at Arsenal, that says it all really.

Well at the risk of getting run out of here for being overly optimistic, I think we can count ourselves bloody unlucky to be behind at half time.  Reckon we can get something from this.

I agree.  They created very little, and the goal they did score was a bit of a fluke.

Could still win this easy

How have 2 players gone in there for that ball without a Villa head near it? Guzan is fucked by that.

Don't they yet know that they have to mark players, its all very basic stuff... f**king awful!

Lambert won't make any half time subs. Won't see Benteke until 70mins aprox

We;ve been miles better since conceding.  Fuck knows why it takes us conceding to start to play with some passion though.

Is there a more over-used word amongst football fans than passion? Everything's always down to a lack of passion. Or  not trying. Or being overpaid. As opposed to confidence, or form, or being intimidated, or just not being as good as your opponent. (Sorry for picking on you!)

I wouldn't say that's over optimistic, it's a reflection of a really poor game.
