Some pics of Villa in here, wonder who the lad in the kit at Wembley is/was?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2532755/Anfield-Old-Trafford-Stamford-Bridge-Golden-Years-Terraces-special.html

I know it's not him, but he has a resemblance to a young Lee Hendrie.

Would have been the mascot given that he is in full kit. We had one permanent mascot in those days but I've no idea who or how he was chosen.

I like the quote from the later picture of the old Trinity in 1954 - "Sixty years on, much of Villa Park really hasn't changed all that much". We wish.

I noted that. Not much has changed, apart from the four entirely new stands.

It always happens when I post images from work, for some reason.

I must admit that when I saw Legion had edited my post but I couldn't see any difference I was slightly confused. :)

There are some real good snippets on that site.

I don't know if I got this from there or elsewhere.

The legend with it said that the area marked 'site' was actually the blacksmiths building that was used in part as a changing room. Looking at google earth the building there today is/was a car tyre outfit and looks too new to be from the late 1800s. However one view shows this :-

The side wall has an area that has been bricked in whcih together with the window could be a large entrace. Maybe the building is older than it looks. It just made me wonder if something from our Perry Barr days still exists.

Am sure I've seen this discussion elsewhere, but that can't be 1907 - the Trinity Rd stand wasn't built till the 1922-3 season.
