Wow. Brlliant. Love the old game photos. Looks like we were playing Palace back in the 70s. Remember the games standing on the Holte with the North stand cranes in the background as that stand was being built

Great action shot in tonight's programme from the 1957 FA Cup semi final replay against Albion (at the sty of all places).  Didn't know that the replay was played on a Thursday afternoon and there were over 58,000 there.

That picture of the Holte in the sky advert for ford makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I see it makes me so proud. No matter what stand at what ground anywhere in the world will never beat it

Some pics of Villa in here, wonder who the lad in the kit at Wembley is/was?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2532755/Anfield-Old-Trafford-Stamford-Bridge-Golden-Years-Terraces-special.html

I think he was the team's mascot and his name escapes me completely. Jon (who else?) Russell wrote something about him in a past H&V.

Being similar in age in 1957, I can even now recall the envy that I felt for that lad.
