Chris Price and Shaun Teale are having an argument about this now on Facebook.

With each other? I have not seen this.

In a nutshell, what's going on here then?

A great deal of it has vanished from Facebook. Too late for some, I think.

How sad to see your heroes (and villains) squabbling.

I just read the exchange between Chris Price and Shaun Teale. To be honest, I didn't understand a word. Footballers eh?

Now we are getting all manner of posts on Facebook, by the original perpetrators, that try to look as though they have been penned by legal people, starting with 'without prejudice', for example, but then going on to make loads of howlers.

It's a bit like thinking the word 'allegedly' is some sort of magic bullet that wards off libel writs.

It is, allegedly.  :D

It all sounds very confused but not half as confused as the Villa Lions & Legends logo and website. It's a very long time since I've seen anything that bad.

It's very hard to like Steve Staunton.

And Stephen Staunton, for that matter.

Seems like the Judean People's Front and The People's Front of Judea to me.

It would appear Chris got help when needed from the AVFPA and Shaun who suffered a recent serious back injury go no help at all.
Obviously they have very differing views of the AVFPA but are still mates.

It is a dreadful situation where supporters of the Club are drawn towards siding with one faction or another.
The Club need to sort this out. In my view, we should go back to how it was with there just being the Villa Old Stars. Surely the Club must control who runs something like this.
It is getting to an 'I am a bigger ex-player than you' situation, which is a poor thing when some of the former players with a lesser playing record than others have genuinely turned out for the Old Stars for years before this sudden era of former players holding sports forums every weekend commenced.

Maybe at the next game we'll get chants in support of each - a bit like the old Rangers-Celtic and Left Side-Right Side chants.

Or, maybe not.

As others say, it's all a bit sad and cetainly tawdry.
