My girlfriend's first visit to Villa Park was a 5-1 defeat to Man City. She's now known as  Mrs Javu and she's also a longstanding Season Ticket holder.

I'm sort of proud of that.

My missus hates football. Thank God. The thought of her wanting to come along to a game and spoil the only real bit of lads time I get sends me all a shiver. She also thinks I go to the Villa to enjoy myself. Ha, if only she knew.

This said, next Saturday I am going to the Strictly Come Dancing live show at the BBC as a gift to the wife and given up Paul Weller tickets because i let her re-arrange our holiday without checking the dates

God bless her.

My son reached the final of the Birmingham Schools FA and the final was played at Villa Park. Not having been to a live game but having watched it on TV, she is sitting in the stand and asks when is the commentator going to start the commentry?

She actually thought what we hear on tv, the crowd heard !!!!!!!!!!!!

Beware..........

That's kinda cute.

Haha, she's not that bad, but you've all made me feel very lucky.

Once I turned up at her house and she was legit watching the FA Cup 5th round, it was two pretty average championship teams and she seemed genuinely interested, that blew me away.

I took my daughter to a game where we played pretty well, she went to a sparsely attended wolves game with her grandad and fell in love with them.

I'll never understand women.

Marry her. ASAP. Never let her go. And don't kick her out of bed for eating a packet of Chipsticks.

We weren't going out in the late 70's (was it 76/77?) but she tagged along with my sister for the first game of the season after much begging.
Against West Ham.
The day the ICF formed and ran round Aston causing mayhem.

In family history it is now referred to as "The Day I Had Bricks Thrown At Me And My Future Husband Fought Londoners".

Never been up since - never will again.

I'm sort of proud of that.

I got thrown out of that game for telling David White what I thought of him as he celebrated his first in front of the dug out.

I had to pay again to get into the Holte!

My girlfriend at the time came with me to Millwall away at The Den in the 80's. Notable for Wolfie getting nicked for staring at a pool ball he had seemingly found in his pocket. We married, even had our reception in the old William McGregor suite, the day England beat Poland 3 nil at Wembley as it happens. Sorry, I digress.

We are now divorced and she hates me me such a passion she will use the kids!!

Took mine to the second Rapid Vienna Europa League qualifier a few years back. It resulted in possibly our worst argument to date by the time we got home.

I won't go into detail other than to say don't do it!

Disaster... my bird still brings up my behaviour in arguments when I took her to an away game 3-4 years ago.
That is because you didn't explain playing away rules to her.

Yeah drinking cans on the train at 9am was foreign to her, tried to tell here in emphasised voice "it's an away day!" but she was not impressed. Multiple use of the "C" word made things worse (my bird is posh) but she then didn't see the funny side of me laughing when she asked what end we were shooting in.

Did she expect you to produce a glass?

Took my girlfriend a few years ago. She was looking forward to seeing the handsome Collymore, we were playing against Leeds,  I went to put a bet on, and she decides to put a bet on Leeds to win.wtf!
She lost her bet, we won 1-0, and Collymore went on to be a girlfriend beater so the mrs went off him.
Never took her again, been married 14 years.
