My mrs's first game was QPR home last season which was a great introduction in terms of atmosphere and result. She hasn't been back mind, part of me's concerned the next one won't live up to the debut. The games I've been to this season (Newcastle and Hull) certainly didn't!

Took mine to 1994 League Cup Final. I was ballistic of course. I mean thrashing united doesn't happen every week. At Wembley. In a final.

Her? 'Whats all the fuss about'?

Oh well, she did think the Villa fans were funny on the train down.

That reminds me that I took the wife to the Bolton semi. Me at Wembley with memories of Queen '86, Bowie '87 and Villa '94. "This is Wembley love"!

"It's a bit tatty isn't it"?

The Bolton Semi reminds me of Ozzjim's story of being caught between a woman and the Villa on that very night. It announced Ozz's arrival into the limelight at H&V, where he's largely remained in the subsequent years.

my mrs has no interest in football and still feels the need to sit with me through MOTD. Bloody annoying.
I hate people who feign an interest in football.
That is to stop you watching porn and falling in love with the actors!

Haha long time no speak?
It's always a good quip but in reality one is bad...I mean good enough and she absolutely detests football and her parting shot when I am leaving for a match is "when are you going to grow up?" She knows the answer!

I've been married for 30 years and my wife has still never been to a match and rarely watches MoD.  She does sometimes watch the live England games and her lack of experience does not stop her pointing out the faults of the English team and players.

I guess that's just in her DNA.

I take my missus to every home game, she's always there with a pint, actually never seems not to have beer on her person. She gets much more aggressive than me as well.

*sobs* YES IT'S MY RIGHT HAND, but I always draw a face on it.

My missus seems to quite like going to the game. Came to loads with me last year as my brother broke his ankle and she used his Season Ticket. She says it's better than watching footy on TV.

She has seen me shouting and squealing at games and that hasn't put her off.

We recently took her 90 year old granddad to a game as well, he hadn't been for about 4 years as he's now in a wheelchair and he loved it (even though we got stuffed by Spurzzz in the League Cup).

I took my missus to a game once (3-3 Fulham away) she said she saw a side of me she didn't like. Job done, she's never asked again.

My missus still hates football, but having been she tells me that she 'gets' why I love it. First game was 3-2 at home to Chelsea, including a Hitz screamer in front of us.

She's been dragged along to a few games since, and she still had an undefeated record after five games. To the point where last season when I threatened to buy her a season ticket and stay at home myself.

Then she saw us lose 4-0 at home to Spurs last Boxing Day. It was freezing, there was nothing to get up to cheer for. Not sure she'll go to another one.
