When Sylla starts, we win.

Yep. I don't think it's a coincidence that results take an upswing when he's in the team.

Though we lost midweek with Sylla in the side he was very good indeed and I'm delighted for him that he's come out of the French second division to look very competent at PL level.

To my eyes it looks like that ball goes from City's defenders to KEA in 1-1 goal, and as far as I know, then it can't be offside.

My head's still buzzing. The noise in the Holte in the second half was just absolutely fantastic - best in a long time. Don't know how we won - they had the better players, dominated possession, had no end of corners and attempts on goal, but we scored more goals and that's all that matters. Fair play to the team for not letting their heads drop after we went behind again just after getting level. That third goal was like watching in slow motion - would the ball reach the line, would the defender get there to clear it - almost orgasmic when it went in. Great free kick by Bacuna. Just one question - KEA looked marginally off-side for his. Was he? Who cares - about time we had a bit of luck after the decisions we haven't had in the last few weeks. Islay single malt beckons

Was offside but so what , we deserve a decision our way after some of the shit decisions against us recently - swings and roundabouts.

Must admit i was very disappointed when we signed him. Happy to hold my hands up and admit I was bang wrong. He played a huge part in saving us from relegation and is continuing to show he belongs at this level.

Doesn't say a lot for the scouts at other french clubs though that they let him go unnoticed for so long.

Typical of Villa to summon up a win against a side everyone had us losing by a hatful to.

Here's what Komapny says:
"Stunned Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, pictured above applauding his side's travelling fans at the final whistle, tries to explain how they lost against Aston Villa after taking the lead twice.
"If we played that game 10 times, we would win nine of them," Kompany said. "It was a very unlucky result and a very unlucky day. Villa had three chances and scored three goals and that was it. The first goal was offside and we did not get the decision - but every time we made a mistake, we conceded."

So, they were unlucky.

To flip that over they had about 15 chances and only scored two, so they're just not very clinical.

And one was a Villa mistake and the other was someone scoring with their back. Considering we are supposedly so shit, we scored the best goals as well. Although KEA was offside, the pass from Bacuna was extremely clever and his free kick just made Hart stand and watch.

I'm gutted about today, left home for the match at 10.30 today, got stuck on the M25 for hours, wasn't moving and had to turn round as the road was closed, if I had made it we would have lost for certain!  On the plus side we were shit and won, the sign of a championship winning team...

The players seem to really give a shit both when we are crap and when we do well - Luna and Bacuna looked genuinely delighted

This great result is the first read out by the sensuously voiced Charlotte Green in the classifieds. A positive start.

The first result read by Charlotte Green in her first broadcast is Aston Villa 3 Manchester City 2. May she be our taliswoman.

Just in case anyone missed it... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01hpjm6
you don't have to wait long ;)

Not entirely sure about her reading, a bit fast and without the intonation for losing and winning, but who cares!!!!!!
