This isn't good enough, we need the midfield to do something. We don't need three centre halves, it's not helping.

Saying that, theres something in Bacuna I like, I think he might be a keeper....not a goalie though

i think it's fair to say we're yet to lay a glove on them

I think we left our gloves in the pub.

If we ever play 4-4-2 again, I'd say Bacuna would be a pretty decent right-midfielder.

For some reason, I actually fancy us to go ahead.

This is what it has been like at home for fucking years now, though, an inability to hold on to the ball without whacking it up field (this side, today, for example) or without relying on endless crosses into the box (MON's side).

No wonder our crowds are dodgy. If I think back to, say, the start of the MON era, I can genuinely think of about a dozen enjoyable home matches, tops.

I can think of hundreds of totally unsatisfactory ones, though. Not ones that we lost, necessarily, but poor matches.

Once City get the first they will get 5 or 6
What makes you think they will break down our defence?

Our defence.
Fair point well made, you know it's only a matter of time...

Look at that. KEA does really well, using his quick feet to release Bacuna - and he strolls into the final third with no movement around him and shoots into the gut of the crowd. Not enough.

There you go Villa, when you pass through midfield a chance is created for Bacuna. That's the way to play.

Great example there, ball back to centre half, no pressure, whacks it up field, gets rid of it the instant he can, despite being under no pressure.

This is dreadful football to be playing at home - happens far far too often.
