The only time we had something that felt like it got the crowd going was when they used to play Geno by Dexys and everyone sang Deano (for Dean Saunders). I used to really enjoy that when I was I was younger. Not bothered now but I can see that the younger fans would enjoy a song to get behind as a curtain raiser.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sabbath in December but i dont think any of their songs are upbeat enough. Livin After Midnight (Judas Priest) is the only local metal band song that I can think of that's upbeat but i think its about getting off you ti*s on drugs.

They might as well play Seven Nation Army - at least the crowd can fill in the "Oh Christian Benteke bit" and get the atmosphere going.

Led Zep? There are a bunch of tracks you could pick by them?

Also what is TFAUMSM?

TFAUSM is Theme From an Unmade Silent Movie by Hurricane Smith.

Sod it, I'll be dull and say I'd have We Will Rock You.

Honestly, anything's fine as long as we never play that Black Eyed Peas crap again. It's a fucking football match, not a ten year old's birthday party.

I would actually consider not going if they played anything by Queen- We Will Rock = WWF.

Going by Wigan, tonight, 'Let's hang on to what we've got' and, 'Don't let it die' seem to be doing the job after half time.
Entrance - haven't a clue.
Although I lean towards TFAUSM. I just really like it.

If we play on a Sunday we could have 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath'.

For Led Zep,  at night games- 'In The Evening';
'Communication Breakdown' seems apt for when we give the ball away;
'Dazed & Confused' after the Chavski result last year.
'Celebration Day' when we win.

I can't remember exactly when it was (sometime under O'Neill, I expect) but before kick off, they used to show a short film of the team's preparations set to 'Shock of the Lightning' by Oasis. I thought that was a top tune and wouldn't say no to that again.

If we did go down the WWF route, the players would all have to have their own separate entrances...
Haha it'd take an hour to get everyone onto the pitch!

This would be perfect entrance music for Christian "Belgian Beast" Benteke!

I miss those player intros on the video screen. The Gabby one always made me chuckle.

To be honest, I'm with walnuts on this.
I don't care for any so-called razmatazz surrounding the game -- cheerleaders and half-time show? No.

I'd prefer it like it used to be, music from Andy Cash Records and Tapes, then the Unmade Movie music when the players ran out.

Close your eyes while playing these and see if it takes you there...

Rather than start a new topic ideas for Saturday?
