Key thing to me is our 3 best players of last season were missing and we finally have players who can come in and cover and we can win.

We are moving in the right direction slowly

I imagine Westwood, Lowton and Benteke, which is a good shout for our best three outfield players for last season (Guzan obviously being our player of the season).

I thought Bacuna was hugely encouraging today, he pretty much eliminated the threat down the right.

Fair enough. I'd have said Delph and Gabby with CB.

I think Lowton and Westwood were better over the whole season, whereas Delph and Gabby became brilliant in the run-in.

It was a strange game second half, we struggled to keep the ball and they didn't seem to have the first idea of how to break us down. It's a great win though.

Luna positionally is a real worry, I would certainly try Baker there midweek. Tonev was poor but Kozak can hold it up and has a decent touch.

Agreed.  Looks a far better full back than midfielder.  Should rightly keep Lowton out of the team if he can keep it up.

I think we did to Norwich today what Newcastle did to us.  In our case, it was Gabby tearing them apart first half.

This. And huge psychologically that we showed we can score and win without Benteke on the pitch and with Gabby going off injured.

Now to address our home form.

Bacuna playing decently will hopefully give lowton the kick up the arse he needs.

We needed that. The monkey of a clean sheet is off our backs and we won a game without Benteke.

Let's not get carried away though, we need everyone fit as soon as.

What a great feeling though. UTV

Clark and Vlaar in combination looked good today. In fairness to Vlaar the biggest compliment I could give is that I didn't notice him, he was solid.
