The best part about it is you just know Nige wouldn't give a f**k and would laugh.

I sometimes wonder whether some of these flumps like Kennedy, CMD and Wills 'support' Villa because they see the association with brum making them look a bit in touch with the working class. The irony being that Villa's (active) fan base is probably the least working class of any of the Midlands clubs
From some Boggie at WBA Unofficial.

I like that 'active' bit, which implies they have some massive dormant support just waiting to come to life.

That link to Small Heath Alliance posted earlier is absolute gold.  At least half must be Villa fans on a wind up.

So we are all John Cleese and they are The Two Ronnies.

This is the myth that I find the most amusing about our rivals. I have no idea regarding the background of Albion's support, but if you look at the Blues, most of their support comes from such notorious working class ghettos as Solihull, Knowle, and Dorridge.

I believe Karen Brady started it off when the Blues were promoted to the Prem for the first time. This indirectly led to Blues fans thinking they could come into the home ends on 03/03/03 because they believed we were all flag-waving middle-class tossers.

They had a shock.

I don't celebrate being british unless its a Lions tour or athletics. I'm English.

Anyway, has any other club got such an overtly conspicuous fan as we do with our Nige? He clearly is just one of us and a big kid about it.at every chance he's donning some Villa apparel.

He seems to be a Villa fan first and a musician 2nd and uses his ability and worldwide renown to show off the first.

Keep up the good work Nigel.

That's just it. He's like a big kid. He's been at the top of his profession for decades yet it's all still a big adventure for him. May I be struck down for this but he could be a Stripey and I'd like him.

I remember years ago he used to buy old Jags and spray paint them claret and blue.  You'd see them on match days.  Has anyone got any pics?

The commentator described Nige as being dressed in his beloved Aston villa shirt, and said she thought he loved villa almost as much as his violin . The bloke is an absolute legend. Was really proud last night.
