Bournemouth a bigger club than Leeds according to Call Me Franksey tonight. Oh dear.

It's his way of preparing to claim that Albion are bigger than Villa. He's biding his time.

yes my thoughts exactly, he is a twat

Bet he's crapping himself and trying to think of every possible negative scenario.

Jesus, WM is shit.

After talking about Speedway for the last 10 minutes, the bloke says they'll also catch up on the other sports stories of the day - including Warwickshire cricket.

And now they're playing a Queen song.

Waste of the license fee.

Desperate for the latest and performing some ablutions, I tuned into to WM.

I was horrified to hear of the "promises" made by the new owner as outlined by Franks. It turns out, having now read the statements, that no promises have been made at all, aims and ambitions. Disgraceful "broadcasting".

In the past, on both WM and BRMB and it's various guises, the phone in would become all about the big story yet WM still had Albion callers on wittering on about nothing. I wouldn't expect to hear anything about Villa had Wolves been in our position and rightly so.

There is no extensive coverage anymore when a story breaks on BBC local radio, they are tied into a Network show that no one listens to. The speedway is on DAB only and should be on FM in tandem with the Villa story.

The BBC just doesn't help itself where local radio is concerned as the listeners switch off in droves.

Franksy is a cock.

I think you can close this thread now, WM are insignificant.

Parochial radio at it's finest. Enjoy the speedway everyone.

God knows what their obsession with speedway is all about. I've never met anyone who likes it.

They did do a phone in before the speedway. 'Franksey' sounded almost depressed at the latest developments.

I am with Franksey at the moment.  I am kind of sitting in the corner eyebtow raised waiting to be proved wrong.  Something smells very fishy about this guy.

That is just because he owns the largest fish processing and canning business in Asia, employing 175,000 people in 23 countries and with assets of $60bn. Don't fret.

I've only ever met two people interested in Speedway. However, one is Len Silver (former national team manager, team owner and track owner) and the other is Tai Woffinden (current World Champion).

Both of them are a bit obsessed with the sport to say the least.

Speedway was fantastic I the 40s and 50s.  Used to go straight to the Bees after Villa Park or the Sty.  Duggie Warren was a great local hero.
