I would happily have taken Pulis or Allardyce if it meant survival. Organise, consolidate then replace.

A manager is not going to come in just to organise a team if he knew he was going to be given the boot after a coupe of season's of doing a good job.

Allardyce only signed a 2 year contract with Sunderland. I'd have taken him for this season and next to consolidate, then look for someone like Garde for the longer term. All ifs, whats and could-have-beens now of course

Last nights delight was a Villa fan (who had been given a ticket and yet still went to to Sunday's game to find he was disgusted with the performance) asking how many of our players would Walsall take off us for free. Cue You know who "Let's put it out there. How many Villa players would you want Walsall fans"

I heard that was an absolutely ludicrous call.  Do you think they get people on deliberately and pay them to say stupid, provocative things?

Just don't listen. I can't bear to hear them take the piss out of us. They're loving it.

Pulis only signed a 2.5 year deal with Albion as well and left Palace after an even shorter time in charge.

I don't think they pay them. I think they just tell these muppets they are going to paid sometime in the future.

Tonight they were continue to peddle the Sherwood didn't buy the players story.  Didn't appear to want to believe what the club have said.

I honestly don't understand why anyone listens to that provocative, half-witted shit.

Why don't you just turn it off and put something else on, or go and watch telly or read or something?

I work in Loughborough and I leave normally around the time it comes on.  I guess I listen just to see how obsessed they can get about us.  It's a strange one really because it's the same ten callers every night and occasionally the thickness of some is astoundingly funny.

Usually after 4.45 on a Saturday I don't want to be reminded of anything to do with football, so no radio or motd for me. I usually go on to 6 music once the results have come in.

Indeed

We generally play shit football. In my time only Big Ron in 92/93 played good football, with micro patches under Little and Houlllier. No one 'wants' a Pulis or Allardyce but it sure as hell would be less shit than going for the all time low points total. Oh how we laughed at "The West Bromich Strollers" when they tried to make out they had some football principles when they were heading for oblivions under Tony Mobray, now apparently we are doing the same.

Cognitive dissonance at its worst.

What muppets do the WM phone-in these days? I've lived on the South Coast for 16 years now - so thankfully I don't get to listen to the puerile shite (not that I would want to if I was still in Brum).
