Would love us to win but think this will end up 2-2, 4 points from those 3 fixtures is a decent start, good times ahead.

Today's finally here. One entire summer utterly wished away, and I can't freakin' wait!! Taking the other-half's nephew to his first ever game today, so, please, Villa, make a good job of this, I need you to sway him away from the influence if his never-been-to-a-match bindipping grandad. Although we do have good form on this front when it comes to her family; she herself comes from a family of never-been-to-a-match cit£h "supporters". Her first competitive match was Bent's debut. She ain't blue no more. An omen? I hope so!

Just hope that win at Arsenal is a true measure of how far we've come rather than just being a freak result. The only way we'll find out is games like today and over the next couple of months. Expectation levels have risen through the roof all of a sudden and that concerns me slightly. A draw would be a decent result but I fear many would see it as 2 points dropped rather than a solid 1 point gained.

I just think it will be a big anti climax. Villa never follow up on promising performances in the next home game. So... I just don't think it will happen.

I find that every time I watch a 5.30 match its a 0-0. Can't see that with us!

They are convinced Toure is a world beater. I cant say that is how I remember him of late, but I suppose we will see.

3-1 and Benteke to score first at 165/1 with William Hill was too tempting to ignore.

Crazy pricing - until you see the stats for this game:

- We've only won six of our last 32 league matches at Villa Park, earning just 28 points.
- It's a club record 24 matches since Paul Lambert's side last kept a Premier League clean sheet (at home to Stoke City in December 2012).
- We have conceded a goal in each of our last 11 league matches at Villa Park.
- Redscouse are unbeaten in their last nine league games - a run that started with a 2-1 victory at VP in March (W5, D4). They have kept six clean sheets during that spell.
- ''The Mighty Reds YNWA' attempted more shots at goal than any other side last weekend
- Daniel Sturridge has scored seven goals in his last six Premier League appearances.
- Steven Gerrard has scored more Premier League goals against Aston Villa than against any other side (11),
