I desperately want to beat these lot.

3 -1 Villa

6 points at the end of the first week when we could possibly have expected 0 would be an excellent start to the season.

5-1 - to the Villa
J.Deehan 2
A.Gray 2
B.Little

seriously, any sort of win would be good against this lot.

We've had the win, we've had the defeat so it's time for the draw. And as it's an evening kick-off I'm going for a cracking 2-2 or 3-3.

I don't think Liverpool have the firepower in all honesty

But do we have the defence?

I feel a lot more confident with it this year. Okore is a beast with so much pace. Chelsea scored an unfortunate own goal and their second was offside.

Agreed.  Liverpool are starting to find their feet under Rodgers and I think it being at home makes it more tricky than if we were playing at their place.

As for the team I would make two changes from last nights game, if Clark's fitness is a bit iffy I would go with Okore to partner Vlaar at the back.  In midfeld I would give Ireland his first start a head of El Ahmadi who just think is a bit light weight and drifts through games. If Ireland is at it I see him as a better option to sit deep and be a ball player making the odd runs forward.

1-1

Sturridge 24 Mins
Weinmann 61 Mins

Terrible timing to be taking a holiday. No doubt I'll be surrounded by plastic scousers in the bar. Would love to see them crying into their beer.

3-1 win
