1-1.

Can see this being the sort of game where we get an early goal and spend the rest of the game missing easy chances and Liverpool will score a jammy late equaliser.

We'll see but this is certainly a winnable game for us.

Nothing to fear here, it's not 1988 you know.  Then again, who's the ref?

Clattenburg.

I fancied us to win this until I found out Legion was coming to the game so I've gone for a draw

Its a bit absurd for people to be suggesting players need a rest after 2 games! And comments that we aren't too strong at home are a little strange, seeing as we haven't played at home this season and we have a few new additions.

Games this early are tough to call because this is when anything can happen. The season doesn't really hot up until October/November

It's not really about a rest as much as it is about keeping players fresh. The important thing will be that any player coming in maintains the same level of intensity as those they are replacing. We played a high tempo game under MON and it worked until all the fuses blew and we crashed back to earth. We need to ensure that doesn't happen with this set of players.

We will win, end of. Benteke will tear their defence a new arsehole and score at least 2 goals.

I think we'll win, but I can't see us keeping a clean sheet - 2-1.

I'm expecting Sylla to start this one. Maybe Tonev but we'll see a whole rash of changes for Rotherham so think Lambert will keep Weimann in for this.

I think we have it in us for another big effort against Liverpool, it's August not March so the players will still be fresh enough.

Do you think it will be sold out? It'd be nice if it was, I love it when Villa Park is full.

I think I'll just copy and paste this bit for every game all season!!

Forget having a rest, they're nippers who want nothing more, right now, than to be running around, chasing a ball. Confidence is sky-high, and there's possibly a sense that an unjust wrong needs to be righted following last night. A statement of intent from the young Lions, no iffy decisions to cloud the afterview of the performance. 3-1 Villa, and the country to marvel at our boys' week's work.

I remember Clattenburg refereed a game of ours last year - one of the good ones, WHam or Sunderland or something - and I remember thinking 'that's one of the best refereeing performances in ages.' Another one come Saturday would be welcome.

I've just been reading their forum and for some reAson they think they are Barcelona They honestly still think they are in direct competition with Chelsea and the Mancs and challenging for top 4

3-1 Villa

Some had internationals and the travel involved last week as well. Plus it's not just playing 2 games, it's what we put into them that could take its toll.
