I can't call this one to be honest. We've looked good so far but they played pretty well against Stoke, although lacked a cutting edge. We've looked dangerous going forward but have struggled to keep the ball (albeit against teams particularly adept at doing so).

I'll pluck a 2-2 draw out of the air.

I reckon we can win this, but I think it'll be a 0-0 in a game we were unlucky not to win.

Lambert doesn't believe in 0-0 draws. We haven't had one for ...... ages

December 8th 2012 0-0 Stoke, I believe.

For the third match running I'm saying that we will not keep a clean sheet and Benteke will get a goal. No idea of the score though, we seem to fare better against Liverpool at Anfield rather than VP.

I want to beat these more than any other side, however, I think this team might struggle when we're at home and the onus is on us to attack. A draw of some description I reckon.

We must be mentally and physically tired. Liverpool will be fresher and their style could really trouble us - lots of movement and one touch passing. I can see a similar pattern of game with them having a lot of the ball.

I'm definitely hoping for a win, but a draw and a good performance would satisfy me too. Then a break before some winnable games coming up. I think I'm  going to predict a Desmond in this one.

I think I'd keep Okore and vlaar, tho that's a bit harsh on Clark.

Otherwise, I think it amounts to how tired players are, which we don't really know. Weimann looks the most obvious candidate for a rest, probably for Tonev if he's fit.

But we could go with the same players, looking to bring Tonev and bacuna on, and / or helenius if we need a goal.

Being as we have a 3 week break in the league after the Liverpool game, we probably don't need to rest any players at all.

As Saurez is out we have a good chance of winning this one..If Weimann is having another poor game Lambert might take him off and give Tonev his chance.

Villa 2-0

If Ireland ever plays for Villa again then I'll muff dive Karen Brady.

The team that has started the season so well deserves to keep on playing. Why would we tinker for the sake of it? We've seen from Baker and Clark that players will pick up knocks and open the door for others to come in. Right now no-one deserves to be dropped. And with the League Cup game and International break around the corner there is no need for rotation on fitness grounds.

Guzan
Lowton Okore/Clark Vlaar Moon
KEA Delph Westwood
Weimann Benteke Gabby

Tough game i think. There's almost a danger of underestimating them. That said, I hope we give them a memorable spanking.

The atmosphere is going to be amazing. As for the result, I fear we may get burgled.

When making your predictions for this game, please take into account the fact that Legion will be present.
14 - 0 to 'The Mighty Reds YNWA'!
(thanks for the advice!)
