He is but in some games i would have sat Drinkwater in there with him too. Henderson and Wilshire are miles off fitness.  It's been proved time and again that taking players with little football due to injury in the build up rarely works.  Just smacks of Roy not having the balls to leave one of his boys out even for the good of the team.

I'd have taken Drinkwater too and only one of Henderson and Wilshire, probably Wilshire as he's marginally more left footed and Milner > Henderson plus more versatile.

And he will just shout back, and hold up his £150k cheque.

The extra midfielder will make Delph purely English ballast for FFP rules. Less PL game time, cup games only, more injuries, bye-bye any international career. What a shame - like he cares

He'll go back to leeds eventually.  When they are still mid table in championship. Monk must be silly to go there as the Italian owner sacks managers 40 odd managers in his ownership years at clubs. Pointless. We may have had it bad but then there is Leeds . The worst thing is they think they are still big club when hull are better in Yorkshire so don't even be biggest club in county. Another reliying on past glory. At least villa are proverb and more likely to be promoted yet we ll hear that Leeds will  should be in premier league.

A fit and firing Depth would be a plus to England, but right now he isn't and has a very unremarkable season.  He did lose my respect last season, if he had waited another season (which may have improved his Euro chances), or at least been more up front about things I would've wished him all the best.

He'll probably leave there on Monday after saying that.

No kidding. I imagine Guardiola reading the BBC bit thinking "oh thats right, I forgot Delph was still here" /adds name to the transfer list.

He's learned more in the last 3 weeks than during the rest of his career? I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't out on loan before the end of August.

Citeh now on the verge of signing Leroy Sane for £37 million.

The real shame is this was so predictable that we all saw it apart from Snake.
